• (2023-03-30) Raimund Engel: Bought the Premium version for Chrome to use it on an overnight auction. Woke up today to realize I had missed an incredible cheap buy due to an error. The log just says "Error sniping item: cant'confirm bid (selector #confirm_button, #confirmBid) Error". Wasted money on the software and lost a great opportunity.

When you take something away, people don't respond positively. Really, the limits of everything except the max $50 bid is pretty reasonable for a free extension. Buying a subscription for just that is kind of annoying.
• (2022-09-06) Steph Nachname: Ich gehe durch viele Apps für Android und Chrome um eine zu finden die einfach nur eine Freeware ist und installiere dann diese hier. Nur um rauszufinden, dass sie auch nur wirklich snipen kann wenn man bezahlt. Free mit 15 Sekunden macht keinen Sinn. Da sind ja die Leute die per Hand bieten schneller. Sollte in der Beschreibung erwähnt werden. Hätte mir die Zeit gespart.
• (2022-01-21) Gerald H.: Schlecht lokalisiert, seltsame Mischung aus übersetzten und nicht übersetzten Programmteilen. Oberfläche unintuitiv und verwirrend. Seit kurzem wird bei Eingabe des Preises einfach der Bietpreis auf 130,00€ gesetzt ohne Erklärung wieso. Sieht ganz extrem nach Bug aus, aber wer lange recherchiert findet raus dass Bieten mit mehr als 130€ nun plötzlich eine kostenpflichtige Eigenschaft ist. Und die kostenpflichtige Version gibt es nur als Abo mit monatlichen Kosten! Ob man diese Abo Version dann auf mehr als einem PC (/Browser) einsetzen darf steht auch nirgends. Schade, Programm war eigentlich vielversprechend. Ich finde das Freemium Modell eigentlich gut, aber bieten mit mehr als 130€ in eine "Professional" Version zu verfrachten (und dann nicht mal eine Meldung einzubauen die darauf hinweist) ist schon unglaublich frech. Und funktionieren tut er übrigens auch nicht (mehr), selbst bei Geboten <130€: Laut Anleitung muss man "intensive-wake-up-throttling" deaktivieren, diese Option gibt es in aktuellen Chrome Versionen aber gar nicht mehr. Ergebnis ist dass er gar nicht bietet - es gibt auch kein Log oder ähnliches in dem man sehen könnte wieso er nicht geboten hat. Nachtrag 21.01.2022 - Der Maximalpreis den die freie Version bietet hat sich in den letzten Wochen mehrfach geändert. Inzwischen ist auf der Webseite keine Rede mehr von einem Maximalpreis, ob es weiterhin einen gibt ist unklar. Dafür schießt der Author jetzt mit einem Kommentar zum Support den Vogel ab: Er schreibt er hat wenig Zeit für Support anfragen und priorisiert die zahlenden Nutzer (super!). Und dann schreibt er "in any case I will answer to rude or cheeky emails". Man muss ihm also nur unhöfliche oder freche E-Mails schreiben und er garantiert eine Antwort. Ich versteh den Kerl nicht, was ist hier nur los?
• (2021-12-06) Alexis: I find this extension a way underrated. It always worked fine for me. I care to let a part of extension visible as advertised. I switched to pro version but still stick to a 3 4 seconds delay snipe for safety.
• (2021-12-04) Frank Leuband: The PowerSniper was working for the last few months quite ok (well sometimes not...). At the moment however it is not working at all. It just does not bid. Sometimes the error "timeout callWithResp: snipeOnPage" is shown, sometimes no error to see. No log files to look for the problem. No response to emails to the developer. What a pity.
• (2021-12-01) Carrot Cake: I've been using this extension with success for 3 months now. Indeed the full featured version is not free anymore but it's rather cheap : 0,75€ / month and the developper is really reactive in terms of support.
• (2021-11-10) It is a fine extension and has worked for half a year without fail. I run it on a small server with Chromium on xfce/Debian and the user interface it is not running all that smooth - which surely is solely the under-powered hardware's fault - and has several kinks and poor visual choices, but it performs well. Being the only sniper extension that does not require a third-party server but automates the local browser's behavior to place the bids that - at the moment - works out of the box right after install, this should be a 5 star review. "A" for effort. Sadly, a few days ago this extension was crippled by the introduction of a "PRO" version, by removing or limiting several settings from the original version. I can get by with most of the limitations. Only the "3 active auctions" limit is pretty painful. For those willing to pay, you get a nice 5 star sniping extension. I am not that "PRO", so I will use this extension until the free version becomes ever more limited to the point of being useless or the author loses interest in maintaining the extension when eBay changes its bidding system again, which had been the death of all opensource automation snipers up to this point. Should the free version still work in a year from now, I change my rating to the full 5 stars. Until then its only a 3 star rating from me and I stay on the lookout for alternatives that may come along.

• (2021-09-05) Arkadin 36: Bis vor kurzem hat die Erweiterung tadellos funktioniert. Das ist leider nicht mehr der Fall, bei meinen letzten 3 Auktionen wurde wohl überhaupt kein Gebot abgegeben ("Gebot nicht bestätigt"). Für mich schwer zu beurteilen, woran es gelegen haben könnte, ob Ebay wieder an einer Stellschraube gedreht hat oder es mit einem Google Chrome Update zu tun hat. Meine Vorgehensweise war zumindest unverändert: Systemzeit kurz vorher synchronisiert, bei Ebay eingeloggt und den Tab mit der Auktion offen gelassen. Auch #intensive-wake-up-throttling ist disabled. Wäre schön, wenn die Erweiterung bald wieder funktionieren würde, bis dahin: Danke!
• (2021-07-15) r mit: Ich schließe mich der Meinung von Arkadin 36 gänzlich an. PowerSniper hat bei mir mit Google Chrome sofort funktioniert. Endlich wieder ein funktionierendes Biet-Programm für eBay. Ein 3x-Hoch und Dankeschön dem edlen Programm-Macher. rimi

• (2021-07-13) Arkadin 36: Schön, daß es nach dem Ende von Biet-O-Matic BE (zumindest schaut es zur Zeit danach aus) diese Alternative gibt, die auf das Wesentliche reduziert ist und auch funktioniert. Hoffentlich bleibt der Entwickler lange am Ball und passt die Erweiterung an, wenn Ebay mal wieder irgendwelche Veränderungen vornimmt. Einstweilen vielen Dank!
