The main popup for the extension allows you to set the default playback speed for YouTube videos along with buttons to set the speed of the video in the current tab to half, normal, and double speed. The main settings popup shown in the screen shots is only active on YouTube video pages. The extension also provides hotkeys for quickly changing the speed of the video in the current tab:
Alt+Shift+1 sets the current tab to normal speed
Alt+Shift+2 sets the current tab to set default speed
Alt+Shift+Up increases the current tab by a the specified increment speed
Alt+Shift+Down decreases the current tab by the specified increment speed

- I would give it five stars, but lately the extension does not work at all. A month or two ago it used to work fine and automatically set my you tube speed, but for a while now it does not function at all.

- It does not work when opening the page. The speed changes only if you refresh a previously opened page. Could you please fix it ☺️. A very useful extension!

- Edit: Works fine now, unsure if it was an update or something fixed by my factory reset. Either way, works! Didn't work by "default" but getting it to run on click is consistent and still saves time and hassle.

- It was perfect, but started to reset to 1x often. And also you can't set a shortcut to activate the extension. anyone know another extension that let you set default speed for videos? possibly on every video of any websites including netflix, vimeo etc?

- I love this extension, only gripe I have is it resets to 1x quite often, maybe if the default start speed where 2x since that is what we have the extension for that would solve the issue mostly. I usually use 3x but would likely not notice 2x. And then again maybe that is worse, I don't know, since at 1x I notice immediately and at 2x I might not notice.

It also overrides the YouTube playback speed from the previous video you played, yet doesn't update the YouTube interface, meaning 6 unnecessary clicks are needed if you wanted to go back to the speed you used for the last video.

- I asked my man Noah to implement a feature so that you don't have the default playback speed (eg. for me 1.5x) enabled on live streams, because they kinda break an bugg then. So I wrote him a mail via 'contact the developer' and guess what HE JUST ADDED THE FEATURE ON REQUEST. Thank you Noah
