Download video from panopto.eu and panopto.com sites.
My extension doesn't work with the latest Panopto update. My university uses an older version, on which I was able to program the extension, but as soon as they update Panopto I promise to update the downloader. Doing it earlier is impossible because I don't have access to an updated platform :)

Download video from every panopto.eu and panopto.com site.
This is a simple extension for Google Chrome or EDGE that allows you to download videos from Panopto for later viewing.
NB: the extension works if your university (or whatever) has not made any changes to the Panopto player; If it uses different players from the default one in Panopto (it's something that could be checked in the code) this extsension won't works. Unfortunately I don't have access to all players from all universities in order to make an universal version :(
HOW TO USE: Navigate to the Panopto video itself you want to download, Click on the extension icon (it's green and located at the top right of your browser) and choose where you want the video to be saved.
NOTE: Feel free to comment if you have problems using it, or if it stops working.

- Fantastica!! L'ho usata per un solo giorno in realtà, ma mi sono scaricata di fila tantissime registrazioni per l'Università (di Tampere, in Finlandia!)... Purtroppo dopo qualche ora ha smesso di funzionare, ma sono più che soddisfatta così!

- L'applicazione in sé è perfetta. E' ovvio che non può funzionare con tutte le università, soprattutto se quest'ultime cambiano i codici. Per la mia non funziona più (Università di Bologna) ma lascio 5 stelle per il buon lavoro fatto fino ad ora e perché mi aspetto ulteriori aggiornamenti.

- IF YOU HAVE ISSUES: The common issue is you click the green button and nothing works. To fix this, just restart your browser and try it again ... close all open chrome applications and then open them again.

- Non era male l'estensione, purtroppo Panopto ha aggiornato i sistemi di sicurezza e l'estensione è diventata inutile. Sono tornato al mio vecchio "Pro Video Downloader" :(

- A me ha salvato la vita universitaria, sinceramente. Mio unico dubbio è se in qualche modo i professori del singolo corso possano "vedere" se qualcuno scarica i video, o chi scarica i video, ma è più un terrore mio. A meno che non gli arrivi proprio una mail, dubito possano vederlo. Grazie c.c

- didnt worked for downloading a video for me. possibly because the panopto video i wanted was two videos simultaineously playing. regardless, it was a .com domain and i clicked on the icon and nothing happened

- it worked for me but not for all the courses and i can't figure out why. When i press on it, it lets me choose where to save the video but tries to save .HTML extension then says failed/forbidden

- It worked, thank you very much. Am giving it 4 stars and not 5 stars as I am fortunate to have realised that for it to work for me, I had to press on it while the link was still opening, and not once it had already opened. Hope this helps to others.
