I think an option page in a tab will work fine.

• (2022-11-04) Dr.Ne0Gen3tic (Forensic Buro of Quantum): I have long been looking for an extension that saves the tabs and has a sync function at the same time. Unfortunately the sync function does not work here at all! I could "load in" the tabs from a file, but I don't want that! I need explicitly this sync functionality! Even if I press the button "Load back-up from Google Drive", this does not work. Yes, even worse, it syncs "unconditional pure nothing" and the back-up is overwritten with "absolute nothing" and is deleted! This synchronization functionality here is the purest farce! Completely unusable and totally shamefully implemented wrong! I'm going to stick with the "Vivaldi Browser" now. At that place/point/location the "Save Tabs" is not equipped with such a nice and pretty "GUI", but at least there the synchronization works without problems. Also, Vivaldi is very reliable to the extreme as far as any sync mechanisms are concerned! I cannot recommend this extension here! This one is completely poorly implemented and the purest junk, grit, garbage, mechanism and a duck head! (It's called that, isn't it? It is a duck head? With me in Germany there is the saying "He is or has found a huge duck head in the sand on the beach" when something is bad! But my English is also unfortunately not so good!).

I use it constantly and also told my friends at work to use it so instead of passing them a bunch of links relating to assignment, I just export to them the collection. One thing though, sometimes when I try to open existing collections it gets stuck and nothing is open, so I have to reopen each link in the collection, recreate the groups and then save the collection again (and then it opens again). Raising to your attention if you can check. Again, awesome !

I have one issue only – time to time it logs me out (on different PCs with different systems) and I am not able to log in again - the log in link does nothing. The only way I found to fix this is to remove the extension and install it again – then it is possible to log in easily.

I use it at work to organize my active project windows (I'm a Developer), and on my personal computer to categorize active stuff by usage (shopping, articles, etc.). Just dive back in where you left off. The huge plus side is that Chrome dies a little less, when I can open/close tab sets, which I otherwise would have kept open. =) Thank you for this extension!

• (2023-10-23, v:3.5.9) Solo kom: lost collections and crashes
  Hello Gil, I have found several problems or bugs. I make extensive use of google's groups for tabs and I have different sessions/collections for different tasks. Lately, it happens more often that my collections saved with Tabox are simply deleted. They no longer appear in the list in Tabbox. Luckily I regularly make backups, but this is a major issue. Another problem is that it doesn`t seem to be possible to save different collections from different windows anymore. When I open a second browser window and save this collection, all other collections previously saved in other windows disappear. In addition, the app constantly crashes if I have saved too many collections. But this is a minor problem and can be fixed by deleting older collections. I use Chrome in the latest version. OS is Win10 with latest updates. RAM is never used to capacity. I use tab suspender and reinstalled it after seeing there have been conflicts with it in the past. I hope you can fix this issues, because when the App works properly, it's a great tool, that helps me a lot being productive, organized and focused. Thanks a lot for your work! cheers

  When I save a group of tabs on my Mac, I try to open them on my PC, but when I click the group, nothing happens. I have sync enabled. I can see all my saved tab groups, but it won't open the groups saved on the Mac. I can drill down into the group of tabs and open tabs individually, but I cannot open the group on the PC. Is this a known issue?

  First of all, love the extension. Amazingly helpful. The past few days though, when I go to the Tab Group List, nothing appears. As I hover my mouse pointer over the list, the names do pop up and I can still click on the group to open it. However, this makes me nervous.   Hi Gil, love your extension, many thanks. Yet, suddenly 90% of the tabs in my collections can't be accessed (a lot of tabs in each collection and quite a few collections) on my Macbook (using Edge). A message like `mibmemlpefkkpbgcoicdfggnmjfajgpg is blocked This page has been blocked by Microsoft Edge. ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT` is displayed. Refreshing takes you to a `extension://invalid/` link (same message in it). I don't have any problem with other extensions, bookmarks, or anything, and exporting importing from a PC doesn't change anything (the collections can't be even opened in the PC no matter I open it in Edge or in Chrome-clicking on the collection results in nothing- for some reason, but I barely use the pC). I used to use Tab Suspender Extension but I'm not using it now really, but just in case. Also I've deactivated "Discard Tabs on Open" in Tabox, in case it is related. Is there anything you could do about it? Are the links stored also locally in the computer? Couldn't find them in Google Drive either... Any hint would help and don't hesitate to ask me anything so that I can help solving it too...

  Amazing extension, love it. Just started using it a few days ago. When opening a collection in an incognito window in "add tabs to this window" mode previously, the collection would correctly load all tabs in the incognito window. Today this changed (I believe due to 3.5.8 update). Now opening a collection in this manner will only load the first tab in the incognito window and load the rest in a normal window, opening a new one if necessary. Disabling discard tabs on open works as a workaround. Thanks for the extension!

  Clicking the collection does nothing. Toggling to open it on a new window does open a window but tabs aren't opened. So for the moment I'm only able to open tabs individually in a collection, which is a hassle when it involves so many tabs. Meanwhile, there's a behavior in my Chrome that "eats" up URLs I entered (type/paste then enter key) once the New Tab has loaded (around 1.5s from pressing a new tab). I'm not sure what's causing that, but it might be connected to Tabox being unable to open a collection. I do not wish to refresh Chrome just to maybe resolve this problem, and I'm hoping the cause can be found before it happens again or something; but if it comes down to it, it'd be a very hard-to-do final resort.

  Great extension but it is missing a very important auto-update feature Without this feature this extension doesn't make much sense if I have to remember to save my tabs every time. An auto-update/save feature is a must to be able to set and forget. Please look into the infamous "Session buddy" extension which I love it btw The only thing missing on that one is the ability of saving tab groups.

  I guess this might be related to the previously posted problems with importing, but I lost all my collections after restarting chrome. I could however import most of them back from a backup, but then they disappeared again. I'm kind of baffled, since I have the google sync on, and I thought my collections were safe, but now it seems that they weren't after all. Is this due to the 3.5 update? I have only had this issue once, when I didn't have the sync on. Also, is there a way to export/backup everything in one go? Now it seems I need to do backup the collections separately, or have I missed something? Otherwise this has been a life saver when jumping between multiple projects.   Just started using - very nice thanks (v 3.4.7): 1) It seems that only way to edit a Collection is to launch tabs in a single Chrome window; then add/delete as needed; then hover mouse so Update appears, and click Update, correct? Is there any plan to be able to "see" listing of tabs that are within a Collection from the Pinned Icon and then edit the collection there? {What you have now is workable but not intuitively obvious that one needs to do above.} 2) Reopen your last closed (tab or window) feature: the former is just like using Cmd+t, correct? Is later any different than having Chrome settings for Start Up be to start where you last left off (or however Chrome labels that)? If it is similar, is it potentially any more reliable than the Chrome setting which for me probably fails at least once per month. 3) is sort by Newest based on Creation Date (or last modified date)? Would be nice if clicking it toggled date sort from descending to ascending; also to be able to edit title of collection, but each of those for me are less important tweaks than other key devel things on your list. Again thanks for a very helpful and promising productivity extension.

  I created a new tab group on tabox, it shows up in the list and says "13 tabs" like it should, but when I click on it, nothing happens. So I enabled "tabs open in new window" and now when I click on my tab group, it opens a new window but it is just a new chrome window, with none of my tabs.

  I am using a GApps domain account. I have sync enabled (3 machines) and this extension has been a game changer for me (awesome functionality!). But, as with any good tool, you become dependent and now suddenly, after the past update - TOTALLY broken. Installs fine. Create new & Import from file are fine. BUT, whenever I try to activate (click on) a tab group I get an empty popup and a chrome message balloon: 'Tabox Save and Share Tab Groups has crashed. Click this balloon to reload the extension' - it is the same on all three of my synced machines. As a note - when I install / reinstall Tabox, I do NOT receive any request for additional permissions (I don't know if this is relevant, but I read another user comment asking why the update was doing this - and mine is not .. ). In the extension interface, the two permissions allowed are 1) Read your browsing history on all your signed-in devices 2)View and manage your tab groups I also noticed that sync isn't working properly - if I install on one machine, Tabox INSTALLS perfectly on the next machine... but does NOT include any of the tab groups that I have on machine one (the past version definitely did this - it is one of the main reasons I love the plugin!) . There is a little 'sync Disabled' in the bottom left of the Tabox window, but I have ALL switches to the right in the extensions mgmt page (developer mode) and my browsers are set to 'Sync Everything' across the board ... So, digging in a bit with extension inspector on Tabox window, it is throwing an error onload on the first line of console: DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for chrome-extension://bdbliblipiempfdkkkjohnecmeknnpoa/app.js.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME when I click on the hyperlink in dev tools ( chrome-extension://bdbliblipiempfdkkkjohnecmeknnpoa/app.js.map ) , however, chrome opens the code page in plain text in a new tab just fine - eg: {"version":3,"sources":["webpack://tabox-react ... etc. Last note - I am running 3.4.3

  The button for updating a tab group becomes misaligned downwards as I scroll through the list of tab groups. It looks like the update button is simply not scrolling with the rest of the UI for the groups and instead is permanently aligned to the overall panel based on what it's position would be while the scroll bar is all the way at the top, resulting in the buttons disappearing entirely after the 7th in the list (on my resolution).

  When I save a tab group and open it the next time, it always switches the the order of the first tab and the second tab. The rest of the tab orders are unaffected. I've been circumventing this issue by switching the first tab and second tab before saving so that when I open the group next time, it will be in the order that I actually want. When I export tab addresses, they appear to be correct. It's just when I actually open the group, the orders of the first two tabs get reversed. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Can you please fix? Thanks.

  I currently have 5 tab groups. I seem to be able to save them ALL together but not each group separately. It seems to be an all or nothing? Do I need to open each group in a separate browser to be able to save them separately? Good news is that when I reopen Chrome, I can reopen the Group Tabs and it contains the correct tabs.

  I had several tabs already grouped in Chrome tab groups. I saved the current groups and tabs with your tool. When I reloaded from your tool I was expecting that the groups would reappear along with their associated tabs and the color of the group. What I got was all the tabs ungrouped and reopening.   Hi! I have been working with Google Chrome Tabs for a couple of weeks now. Recently my browser crashed and I had to reassign all my tabs to their groups again. So, I installed Tabox today. I was hoping I could import my existing Google Chrome Tab Groups into Tabox easily. However, I can't make heads or tails of it. So, my question is: how do I easily import my existing Google Chrome Tab Groups into Tabox? By the way: I did try to select the tabs from an existing Google Tabs Group and add them to Tabox with the same group name, but that did not save the group color nor the preceding tab with the group name. I think Tabox should automatically import Google Tab Groups after installation the moment it finds them. Tabox has potential, but it should really work with Google Tab Groups seamlessly to make it popular.

  I can save all of my tabs, including groups (eg. 51 tabs (10 groups) but when I restore them, none of the groups are added. I'll just get all 51 tabs without any grouping. Any help?

  Some sort of explorer would be super useful because right now all you have is the session name, if we could browse its contents perhaps? Here I'm being really greedy :3, if you were to have an explorer feature, could you also try and make it so that you can add tabs to chrome's groups from that menu. A "lazy tabs" option would be great because loading a lot of tabs causes major slow down. Tab Session Manager has a good implementation of this but there is no group support. A confirmation before opening the session is a small change that would help a lot One of the permissions looks weird and kinda scary, it's the OAuth2 thingy. Dark theme not staying set sometimes
