Crea tu propia 'lista blanca' de sitios seguros, y esta extensión bloqueará automaticamente todas las páginas de cualquier otro sitio que no esté en esta lista.

Al añadir un sitio a tu 'lista blanca', ten en cuenta lo siguiente:
- Puedes usar comodines. Por ejemplo, si añades 'google.*', PODRÁS acceder a 'google.com', 'google.de', 'google.es', etc.
- Si sólo especificas el dominio del sitio, sus subdominios también serán permitidos. Es decir, si añades 'google.com', PODRÁS acceder a 'mail.google.com', 'maps.google.com', etc.
- Si especificas tanto el dominio como el subdominio del sitio, sólo se permitirá el acceso a ese subdominio. Es decir, si añades 'www.google.com';, NO PODRÁS acceder a 'mail.google.com', 'maps.google.com', etc.

PS: Al instalar Whitelist para Chrome, tu navegador te advertirá de que esta extensión puede tener acceso a tus datos en todos los sitios web, y a tu historial de navegación. Estos permisos son necesarios para bloquear páginas mientras navegas. No se almacena información en tu ordenador ni se obtienen datos personales a través de esta extensión. ¡Lo prometo!

Also, would be good for parental control for little kids (nursery age), though much older and kids can break it, still useful though. Def it needs a webpage when selected to show which websites are allowed (would act like a reminder). This would be different than the options page where sites can be added. Also a password, even if the extension could be disallowed. Also would be great if you could click an "add" menu item in the extension-icon's righ-click menu that would add the currently viewed site to the whitelist. I'd easily donate $10 if it had those options, which I've done with other extensions like the "Full Screen for Google Tasks" extension, and others.

- (2020-07-22) Josh Sorensen: took a while to find a plugin like this that does what i want. i went through installing/removing 3 other site blockers that are supposed to have a "whitelist" but yet they don't have a way to "blacklist every site other than those in the whitelist". and this is much better than installing popup/popunder/over/whatever blockers that don't work on most sites. however there is a small room for improvement in this extension. i hope they add a button on the blacklisted page that appears when you open a link in a new tab/annoying popup tab that you can click to whitelist or blacklist(never opening the tab that has that site at all, not even opening the page to whitelist/blacklist it but instead closing it if its in a new tab) the site rather than opening the whitelist and copy/paste the url to whitelist the site. other than that it's perfect. WELL DONE! Best extension for those annoying popups/popunders/popovers that get past ad blockers.
