In addition, it might be a good idea to actually @ the user also. But either way, this solves issues that are clearly missing from google chats.

  Since about March 31, the button to copy a link to the thread no longer appears in any chat space. The follow button is still there, so the issue must not be related to that.   It seems the copy link option only works when you are following a thread on google chat. The user in turn has to have replied or been tagged in the conversation to follow - there isn't an explicit option in google chat to follow whatever thread you want. Would be a lot more helpful if you could copy the link for whatever thread you want to share.

  Thanks for creating the extension. Looks like the 'copy link to thread' is anchored to the 'follow/unfollow' button. When you have notifications on a room set to 'notify always' the follow button is removed but this also removes the copy link button.

  The extension works great for the standard version of chat and it's pc standalone version with the url: https://chat.google.com However unfortunately the extension doesn't seem to work in the gmail embedded version which has the url: https://mail.google.com/chat !! I would be so grateful if you could make the extension also work on the gmail embedded version! It would be a great contribution because more functionality is provided in the gmail embedded version like tasks, files, meet and other things. Being able to quote messages in the chat version with more functionality would be wonderful!

  I am really happy that you provided this functionality to google chat. It's really frustrating to not be able to quote / reply to other people's messages. I would suggest adding the possibility to automatically move to the quoted thread when you click on it. Sometimes it can be hard to find the mentioned thread right away

The "copy thread link" works perfectly, but the quotation symbol doesnt appear on the comments. We are using the Google Chatt app (it works like a new tab of the explorer).
