Google Chat does not make it easy to reference chat threads by linking to them. This plugin adds a button to each thread to copy a link to it and also adds a button to quote reply to messages. Select a part of a message and click on the quote reply button to quote that particular part or simply click on quote reply to quote the complete message.

For spaces that have not enabled this feature, GChat uses something called "Threaded replies". This extension does not offer to copy link of those threads of messages

- (2022-05-27) Rizing: We use it for work purposes, however there's a bit of a bug I noticed. When making a quote reply for a quote reply, it does not seem to stack well. In addition, it might be a good idea to actually @ the user also. But either way, this solves issues that are clearly missing from google chats.

It adds the two most important features that Google Chat is missing: - The "Copy thread link" button makes it WAY easier to direct someone to a particular thread - The "Quote reply" button allows you to easily reply to a particular comment, so people immediately know what you're responding to Additionally, updates to Google Chat occasionally stop the extension from working, but the creator has put in the time to fix it, which is so important
