Vemos is a Chrome extension for making virtual movie nights with friends so much better.
We want to make it feel like you and your friends are all in the same room when watching movies online, even if you're thousands of miles apart.
It supports Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Hulu, and Disney Plus; all of your favorites!
You can also try it out on other sites too!
Once you and your friends install Vemos you'll get:
• Full video call integration right beside the movie as it plays - Feel like you're watching together in the same room.
• Voice chat - Chat and laugh together while bingeing on your favorite shows.
• Multiple viewers - The more the merrier! Invite as many friends to join as you like you.
• Synchronized Play/Pause/Seek - Never have to count down to hit the play button again.
Get a group of your friends together (virtually) and break out the popcorn!

- (2020-12-10) Nadya Lorick: I really liked this! It was the only thing I could find that allowed me to FaceTime with friends and watch Netflix with them! It really made me feel like I was there with them during these insane times. Just make sure to follow their instructions and wear headphones to help with the feedback problem. Also make sure to have your computer plugged in because it does take up a lot of power and energy to use. Overall, I really liked it! Enjoy the extension! :)
- (2020-11-15) Felipe Guimarães: Very promising, but, unfortunately, I tried numerous times and it doesn't work. It was very very hard to get connected to the other person. When it worked, we couldn't see or hear each other (although our camera and mic were fine).

- (2020-07-10) Victoria Grimme: I tested with my sis and we could not get it to work with DIsney+. We connected to each other but the video was not synced. When I hit play and watched, she just had a dark screen with the Disney+ logo. Seemed to work OK in Netflix.
- (2020-07-09) Aaron K: Doesn't work reliably (tested in Disney+): 1) Every time I send a Vemos link to someone, so we can both video chat with each other, they can see me but I cannot see them. 2) Occasionally, the syncing will stop working as well 3) Unclear whether or not I need to generate a new Vemos link when I go to the next episode of the same show, and how to do so without completely closing the tab (to get rid of the existing Vemos sidebar) and then reopening it.

But for some odd reason the camera and audio for my friend wasn't working on my end, and vice versa for her even though we both gave vemos the permission for our camera and audio. We refreshed the page, tried the link and manual, but it still wouldn't work. :( I was really excited so I'm a bit sad it didn't work.
