  • (2025-06-12) Rafael Shikamaru: I would just like to be able to choose a new default folder to save the captures!
  • (2025-05-11) Peble Jeine: This is an absolute waste of time.
  • (2025-05-05) Sarah Gardner: This is a fantastic tool! I'm wondering if there's a way for the cursor to show when creating automated recordings? I see the cursor in the tutorial video with the manual recording. I'm scared to delete all the automated actions I created to do a manual recording instead, in case I need them again! Thanks for creating this extension 💖.
  • (2025-04-19) Lucan: simple minimalism effective, you can make your script to show your webpage, extremely good.
  • (2025-04-06) Michelle Hughes: Brilliant. Simple. Easy to use. Does the job.
  • (2025-03-31) Alexandre Gauthier: Awesome and simple to use screen scroll capture with action and sequences!
  • (2025-02-23) Brylie Christopher Oxley: Great plugin! It would be nice if the floating window could be moved outside of the browser window. For example, when using external screen recording software, I might not want to record the Scroll Capture UI.
  • (2025-01-20) Giacomo Tanner: The clicking tool seems to click lower than I am programming it to so keeps missing the buttons i'm trying to press, any tips. Also cant seem to get the typing feature to work... But i like it for the scrolling element.
  • (2025-01-13) Murat Angın: That is an awesome tool, thank you Patrick! Just as a feature request in case you think, similar to scroll target detection, you can add an element detector to only capture this element or this part of website on video recording.
  • (2025-01-10) Konstantin T.: I have never seen a better app than this. Patrick Matte, please don’t stop improving Scroll Capture. And please consider adding the ability for the cursor to move in real-time. I would like to record a desktop version where the cursor moves and clicks, and for the mobile version, I’d like to see a circle instead of the cursor. This would be perfect. Perhaps it could be possible to add JavaScript support in the settings to allow users to customize global settings on their own
  • (2025-01-07) Ramin Amin Tafreshi: Works beautifully.!!
  • (2024-12-20) Mike: Perfect tool, thank you dev
  • (2024-12-04) Sam Stevens: Phenomenal tool. Covers a very specific problem that no other tool has covered, that I've found. Trying to record website presentations to show on a portfolio is super tricky usually. The recording is never smooth or accurate, and no matter how nice and fancy the website itself is — it never looks good. This tool gives you an animation toolkit, similar to Webflow Interactions, and allows you to do your web designs justice, sometimes even elevating them a touch too. Doesn't always work how you want it, but that's the nature of the web. Sometimes hover effects or button clicks are initiated in a non-standard way and using mouseover or clicks don't always work, so sometimes you have to get a little creative. I've recently used the CSS injection step to toggle the cursor between None and Auto so that I can see the cursor for a second to click a button, or do an interaction manually, and then toggle the cursor back off and continue the animation. Great work!
  • (2024-11-30) Ethan Lanting: This is fantastic! Are there any plans to open-source the project? I’d love to contribute! One feature I’d love to see is the ability to define scroll amounts using units like rem, vw, and vh, instead of being limited to just pixel values.
  • (2024-10-24) LNIV Studio: This is exactly what I needed. A fabulous tool and long overdue... I would have given 5 stars if I could figure out how to demonstrate rollover effects and if the "mouse gesture" worked for me too. Unfortunately, the red cursor in the tutorial video disappears once my mouse is moved off of the "scroll capture" window.
  • (2024-10-17) Manuel Dalla Lana: This extension is awesome! I can finally record the websites and web apps I develop in a very professional way to showcase them in my company portfolio and presentations.
  • (2024-10-02) Nik Bailey: One of the best Chrome extentions I've ever used, obviously a very specific purpose but it does that one thing really really well.
  • (2024-10-01) Gary Shuster: It installed cleanly, but there are no instructions. I assume this is user error because of the lack of instructions, but I was unable to get it to record. Everything else worked great.
  • (2024-09-29) Rahul Hareendran: Fantastic tool with tons of features. I'm at a loss of words to describe how good the extension works and how many advanced features are packed into it.
  • (2024-09-12) Christian Carvalho: Very usefull, but i cant see or download the video in the end.
  • (2024-09-05) Arafat Hossain: Overally it's super good. Just one more feature can make it the perfect I believe. I would request the developer to add zoom in and out effect while recording. That's it.
  • (2024-09-02) Alex Hill: great!
  • (2024-08-26) Marc-Antoine Ruel: Works great!
  • (2024-07-29) Bowen de Vries: This is an amazing tool, thanks a lot! Works perfectly and very easy to set up.
  • (2024-07-16) Cosmin Cristescu: Great!
  • (2024-07-16) Catherine Engstrom: Seems like a great extension, however it's not working on a particular site I need. Is there anywhere I contact you to try and resolve the issue? :)
  • (2024-07-10) James Lynch: Incredible tool when it does work, however I am having issues recording on GitHub. When recording videos there, even just basic one-second clips with no animations or anything, the only output I see is the FFMPEG logs. No video ever appears like it would with the other sites. If this was fixed, it would be perfect as far as I know.
  • (2024-07-06) Nathaniel Rand: Exactly what I was looking! The customization is incredible. Well done!
  • (2024-06-24) Crystal Identity: UPDATE 2: Unfortunately, it has stopped working again, even though I have turned off all other extensions. I can't figure out how to overcome this problem, I am too exhausted, so I am uninstalling it. So sorry, as it looks like it would've been a really cool extension to try out! I'm now leaving it at a neutral 3 stars. UPDATE 1: It appears that one (or more) of the other extensions I had installed on my browser was conflicting with ScrollCapture. I'm a bit obsessed with useful apps and extensions, so sometimes I just go nuts and install too many! I noticed that a couple of other extensions (RikaiChamp and TinySuspender) stopped working after I installed a bunch of new extensions recently. Today I removed a whole bunch of extensions I wasn't using (or looked suspicious), and then uninstalled and reinstalled the extensions that weren't working. They are all now working, including ScrollCapture! 🙌 Also, I must say that the dev Patrick is very kind and friendly and helpful - so if you have any problems, you should reach out to him by email! 😸 I have now changed my rating of ScrollCapture to 4 stars (obviously my initial 1-star review was totally unwarranted - sorry! 🙏), and will adjust the stars later depending on my experience with the extension (when I click on the icon, I can see the UI now - thank goodness! - but I haven't actually used it yet). To be continued. ORIGINAL 1-STAR REVIEW COMMENT (lol, sorry!): I don't understand all the rave reviews. I installed it, and clicking on the icon does absolutely NOTHING. I'm so confused... For this reason, I AM OUT!
  • (2024-06-20) Shannon Lochridge: So.. probably operator error, but I've added a number of steps but there is no way for me to scroll within the extension window, so I can't see them or make adjustments to them. I've tried resizing the little Scroll tool window but no matter what, I cannot "scroll" through all of my steps? I've also tried resizing the whole browser window. No way to view. Additionally, when the video is downloaded as an .mp4 it 1. will not open in any video software, even quicktime and photoshop 2. they have a large file size as videos do, BUT the file info shows the video duration as 00:00. Help :(
  • (2024-06-18) Mahmoud Salem: Amazing, thanks a lot
  • (2024-06-15) Jai Sandhu: Really useful application, so many features for something that's free
  • (2024-06-06) Adam Taylor: This developer deserves sainthood
  • (2024-06-04) Erwin Luijendijk: You're the best
  • (2024-06-03) Fandy Diadline: Wow, it works as expected! If you're confused about how to use it, just press the camera button in the right corner, not the play button. Then, scroll as needed. Once you're done, open the extension; it will automatically save and display your web scroll video.
  • (2024-05-30) Tyler Bingham: Patrick! This is amazing. Thank you for creating this tool.
  • (2024-05-16) Jevgeni Maiorov: This is unbelievable. Exceptional product.
  • (2024-05-10) hercules Jacko: The best extension I've found. Thank you very much.
  • (2024-05-08) Alfonso: Does nothing at all. No interface, no recording....
  • (2024-05-07) Geeky Val: Amazing! Such a time-saver and works perfectly, thank you so much!
  • (2024-05-06) Andrew Alegre: Thank you so much for this AWESOME tool!!!
  • (2024-05-01) Erik Johannes Jung: Really nice, realy easy to use. Only suggestion I can make is to improve the file-naming: File captured right after lunch: ScrollCapture 2024-05-01 at 12.46.53 PM File captured after 1PM: ScrollCapture 2024-05-01 at 1.20.30 PM You see the issue? Since windows orders items alphabetically, this messes everything up and files get out of order which can become quite frustrating when searching for the correct file. Please update this so files are instead: ScrollCapture 2024-05-01 at 12.46.53 ScrollCapture 2024-05-01 at 13.20.30 AM/PM doesnt work when windows sorts items alphabetically.
  • (2024-04-25) Tracey Griffin: How can I set the video scroll dimension to fit on a canva template size of 2700 x 2025? Need the scroll to fit and fill this whole template area :-)
  • (2024-04-22) Radek Brzeski: Fantastic tool. Thank you. However, I can't edit the video because the Timeline option is missing. I checked on the latest version of Chrome browser and Vivaldi on Windows 10. For testing, I changed File Format options, stretched in all directions the application window, changed Source, but unfortunately Timeline did not show up. After recording, I only have the option to download the file and nothing more. I saw that someone recently reported a similar problem. Can you post a screenshot of where to find this?
  • (2024-04-18) Nibir Sankar: extremely aesthetic and feature packed
  • (2024-04-17) Emily Luchetti: Hi, very cool! For me though, the timeline feature that you show in your tutorial to edit the clips is not appearing in the toolbar. Any suggestions?
  • (2024-04-17) Renato Franchitto: Very powerful utility extension. Thanks for providing this!
  • (2024-04-16) A P: Very powerful tool, thanks for making this and sharing with everyone!
  • (2024-04-15) Ruben Ladányi: The best scroll extension i've ever met
