• (2024-04-06) Wes Foster: As of yesterday, this extension includes MALWARE. It will add items to your Google searches to try and get you to click to an external website (called Gotosearch). Remove now and DO NOT INSTALL.

Sadly, this extension isn't supported anymore. The last update was from 2021, It's the only anti-fingerprinting extension or add-on that actually works.But future updates of Chrome will render it impotent. Users need to tab over support tab and write your comment there as well for a fix and features. Hopefully someone else can take over this extension to support and improve it.

• (2021-02-01) Scott: I was using Ublock Origin for fingerprint spoofing and ad blocking but it stopped youtube videos from playing. This app does the spoofing according to a tool from brax.me
• (2021-01-24) Sergey Tverye: I like that this extension has a minimal set of all the necessary features. Other extensions are either overloaded with additional functions, or require the use of several extensions at once. Also my tests showed that this extension works well.

Only thing I notice is that some tests like Cover Your Tracks (EFF) refuse to run if you have the audio option checked, which I suppose is a good thing otherwise. Besides that, the one thing this plugin could use is, while the notification options are disabled, a status indicator that the site you're visiting is attempting to fingerprint you would be nice to have on the icon -- perhaps turn it red for the duration of your visit.
