Using speech recognition and machine translation to generate subtitles for videos. Help you overcome language barriers.
Auto-Subtitle browser extension, which can add subtitles to live broadcast, on-demand, video chat, and video conference on web pages.
It uses AI technology to add subtitles to videos, and can translate the subtitle into other languages. But the video will be delayed for more than ten seconds.
If your hearing is diminishing.
If you are a person who uses sign language.
If you want to see a video from another country, but do not understand the language of that country.
This extension can all help you.
This extension needs to set up Google Cloud speech to text API or Amazon Cloud transcribe API. They will provide some free quotas, and need charge after the quota is used up.
Q:What should I do if there is no icon in the top left corner of the video?
A:Click the button on the menu bar of the browser, the icon will display.

- A very good extension, very good idea, breaking the language barrier. I really like this tool, but there are a few small bugs I want the developer to improve and fix 1. Video quality is noticeably reduced when in automatic subtitles window 2. can not be used on chrome and only works on firefox to be stable 3. some auto-subtile sites can't get videos Update bugs when using it: Bug in google chrome, can't run auto-subtitle in normal webpage, just working in direct url video link, and window of subtitle-video can not opened with full screen . hope you fix it soon. - This thing doesn't work. I pinned the extension to my tool bar and clicked it so I could subtitle one of my lectures on google drive and the watermark on the top left doesn't appear on the video. Don't waste your time here, there's a lot of coding errors that need to be revisited.
