- I've heard that sometimes people will buy the ability to manage popular extensions from the developer and then inject malware into them. That seems to have happened with this extension. If you open up the code for the extension there are a bunch of comments in russian that seem related to redirecting your search to somewhere where the developer will get ad revenue, Yahoo search in this case. Run away! Run away!
