Description from extension meta

Adds extra features to the note taking app called Roam Research

Image from store Roaman
Description from store This chrome extension adds some features to Roam Research. It allows users to 1. Collapse and expand blocks by holding Shift while scrolling over the block they want to collapse or expand. This works for pages in the right sidebar and page reference section too. 2. Delete a page by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Delete. 3. Auto complete by pressing Shift + Space, Tab, or Cmd+Enter. 4. Automatically add brackets after you press "#" so you can tag pages with multiple words. You can also highlight a word and have it be wrapped in #[[]] 5. Highlights the bullet to the left of text area and the line leading the sibling block above it in "DarkOrange". 6. Hovering on the left side of the screen will pull up the left sidebar so that you can have more screen real-estate. More features to come! You can message me on twitter @eboodnero to request a feature. If I can do it then I'll add it on my spare time! —Eran Boodnero

  • (2021-03-11) Rob Bai: Very cool extension, thanks for the work! But when I turn on the "Auto-complete", I can't use the MAC system shortcut "cmd+ctrl+space"(emoji shortcut). I think it's because of the "Ctrl+space" shortcut of "Auto-complete".
  • (2021-02-21) Stanislav Musikhin: works in Opera as well just two bug I noticed: Shift-scrolling only works when scrolling up but not down; and highlighting (orange line) does not seem to work
  • (2020-11-24) Kei Cheung: Works quite well with Roam. Two small bugs. (1) With this plug-in, typing the number "3" will shift the input caret two characters to the right all the time. (2) Sometimes the autocomplete of [[]] when you type # does not show up. Edit: Now the extension is even broken as Roam updated. Hope that it will be updated soon and not become obsolete.
  • (2020-08-10) Laurel Bowman: Can't find it after I installed it. It's not in the menu bar with the other extensions. It hasn't rolled off the end either. So, I can't use it.
  • (2020-08-01) Joe Holmes: Thanks so much for this! Love your walkthroughs on Youtube too. Appreciate all the hard work you've been doing for everyone else. Bless!
  • (2020-06-26) Keith Altomare: Pleased and looking forward to updates!
  • (2020-06-25) Will Paterson: I really like it, but the scroll feature and some of the other features don't work on my mac, but they do on my PC. Not sure why but hoping this can be fixed!

  • (2020-12-07, v:0.0.0.13) Jon S: Scope highlighting doesn't work with the latest Roam updates
Hi, I just found your app in the last month, and scope highlighting has been EXTREMELY USEFUL. Unfortunately with the latest Roam updates, in the past week, it's stopped working. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't work. Can you help fix?
  • (2020-10-18, v:0.0.0.13) Sofronie Cristian: Easy tag option has a bug
If this option is active and I type 3 inside the math environment or between two parenthesis it moves the caret two spaced two the right.
  • (2020-09-18, v:0.0.0.13) Sam I Am: Tab through list before hitting enter
This extension is fantastic. If possible as an enhancement, I would love to have the ability to tab through the list of page links before hitting enter. So after entering the first few characters a page I could tab to highlight the page in the list and enter to select is as my [[]] link.
  • (2020-08-15, v:0.0.0.13) Eran Glicks: Scope highlighting issue
When I enable it, I can't tell the difference between Block that have nested blocks inside, and those who do not have. I think it's a bug, because it only appears after I press on a Block, but then it sticks until I change a page
  • (2020-07-18, v:0.0.0.13) Andreas Georgiadis: Roaman expand blocks function
Recently purchased a Logi MX Master 3 for Mac and apparently, since shift+scroll for horizontal scrolling is a default combination in mac, the collapse/expand function doesn't seem to work. Is there a way/do you have plans of making the Roaman key combinations customizable (ie. have this function mapped to ctl+scroll)?
  • (2020-07-03, v:0.0.0.12) Ron Lusk: Options on a Chromebook aren't displayed correctly
On a Chromebook (where everything seems to be subtly different from everywhere else), the images in the "Auto-Complete" and "Easily collapse and expand blocks" options show the "broken" icon instead.
  • (2020-06-30, v:0.0.0.12) ZK Pang (Zet): Auto closing parentheses whenever digit '3' is typed
Hey, great extension for a frequent Roam user like me. I noticed that while the extension is enabled (with Auto-complete, Easily collapse and expand blocks, Scope Highlighting, Expand left sidebar on hover, and Easy tag in use), whenever I type digit '3', it's going to move the cursor after the closing parentheses.
  • (2020-06-21, v:0.0.0.5) Andreas Georgiadis: Issues & suggestion
Great extension! I can't do without the 'scope highlighter' and shift+scroll features!! 2 issues: 1. I am on Mac and after enabling the extension I cannot get the default (system-wide) text cursor highlighting capabilities working (for my it's Shift+Right/LeftArrow and/or Shift+Opt+Right/LeftArrow for word selection). Any way you can help me troubleshoot? 2. Cmd+space (the equivalent of alt+space in windows, I understand?) is already 'taken' for me so 'Auto-complete' doesn't work either.. 1 suggestion: Thinking of p.2, anyway you can make the hotkey combinations customizable?
  • (2020-06-17, v:0.0.0.4) Kevin Murray: Thank you
It's a shame we can't post reviews. I just wanted to thank you for this. Fine-tuning the flow of Roam is more meaningful to me than many of the added functions. One issue I have is quickly adding a block, particularly at the top of a page. With Dynalist, you can "enter" form page title to do this.
  • (2020-06-17, v:0.0.0.3) Alex Kaplan: Bug - heads up
First, thanks for putting this together! Good ideas here. Quick bug that I seemed to notice is that when I use the extension while it does indeed highlight the scope, my bullets no longer have the added formatting when collapsed so I can't tell which bullets have sub-info (if I had collapsed them earlier) when using the extension. They seem to appear when you first get on a page, but as soon as I begin to input on that page they are gone.
