A browser extension that blurs all images on a page, for when you want to be discreet or don't want to look at certain images.
We’ve all been in a situation where we’ve ‘accidentally’ searched for something online and have seen images we wished we didn’t. No?
Then you’ve probably been in a situation where you’re browsing Facebook, Instagram etc. at work or at the library only to spot the person beside you peeping at your screen. No?
Or you’ve been in a situation where you just want to read an article without being bombarded by images and videos.
Well, now, you can. This add on blurs all images and videos on a page so you can focus on what matters. You can choose to view or not view content.
To view, just hover over an image and press ALT + K to unblur. Done? Just disable the extension from the toolbar or use ALT + L to disable/enable the extension
To see or not to see? That is the question.
Shortcuts:
ALT + K: Blur or unblur an image or video when hovering over it
ALT + L: To quickly enable or disable the extension
You can now also white list websites, simply open the extension and add the site to your allow list!

- (2023-11-10) Deborah Chiang-Harris: doesn't work very well after latest update. 90% of the time nothing happens when I click enable, only way I know to fix is to reinstall the extension, but it stops working the next time. edit: update was reverted, working well again!
- (2023-11-09) Sarfaraj: wow. It quickly blur all the content
- (2023-09-15) Conrad Kreutzer: Great for quickly blurring things out and adjusting the level of blurriness, but the feature where you can hover over an image and it will appear isn't working for me anymore.
- (2023-08-30) Bart Blaak: Neat app! One issue I'm experiencing: I cannot get the hover to unblur functionality to work, neither on Chrome nor Edge. I have no succes with the keyboard shortcut ALT + K either. Extension version: 3.0.0 Edge version: 118.0.2048.1 (dev channel) Chrome version: 116.0.5845.141 Some feedback for possible future improvements: - Reddit videos do not get blurred. - An image doesn't get blurred if you're viewing it via its direct link.
- (2023-08-11) David Renkl: Absolutely essential. Support is also good, reacts fast if there is a problem. I hope for good updates in the future!

- (2023-08-07) mohamed madhed: I suggest to the developer, to make him blur the pictures of women (nude), it would be a very cool feature
- (2023-08-03) Zander Koch: I'd rather have it than not, but it doesn't unblur on hover, and hides iframes, which i'd really prefer if it didn't
- (2023-03-20) Daryl K: blurs ok.. but does not unblur on hover. Have to click on the extension to unblur images.
- (2023-03-07) Pat MySecret: Does what it says.. Blurs images to level you choose and keeps text good. :-) Wish list: an adaptive icon (color change etc) so that I know when it is on/off.
- (2023-02-13) Евгений С.: Пушка
- (2023-02-12) vacs: It works very well, but I would much prefer to have two separate toggles for video and images. For example I often want to watch a video without being distracted or sidetracked from other suggestions, I would love to be able to disable only the images and not the video.
- (2023-01-30) b.i.g kaloon: Excellent. I have been striving to lower my gaze according to the sunnah irl but when ever I would browser the web, it became nearly impossible to avoid catching the eye on haram images. This extension prevents that happening. Thank you whoever made it. Excellent extension.
- (2022-12-17) Muhammad Mejanul Haque: Thanks, I also applied your code to apply on my project. it contains women products like underwear and etc. saved my day. img, video, iframe, div[style*="url"], span[style*="url"], a[style*="url"], i[style*="url"] { filter: blur(50px) !important; }

- (2022-04-28) XYHC: LOVE IT! But, is it possible to add a new feature where a key press lets me unblur a hovered-over image immediately? The 1-second wait time gets cumbersome when I'm image browsing.
- (2022-03-21) Trust Me: Thank You , Thank you so much . It helps me a lot , more people should know about this extension !
- (2021-12-10) moto rider: This is a great extension for blurring undesirable content. Super easy and straight forward. Only needs to add keyboard shortcuts to be really useful. Great work!
- (2021-11-29) Justin: It was a good extension, until I had to move from Blur to Tampermonkey, because Blur, in some cases, completely fails due to lacking "!important" in the CSS that's injected. If there is some reason the author doesn't use "!important" by default, it should be made an option at the very least, and the user should be warned that it's not enabled by default.
- (2021-11-28) Heliann Redfield: The extension is great, however, it needs a white list, for sites that pose no risk.
- (2021-11-26) Larry Oheart: I don't think I need to stress just how useful this app is, once you figure out how to set it up in the extension details, it works like a miracle. Thank you.
- (2021-11-01) Mohammed Sherif: I Don't know how to thank you Thank you so much!!!
- (2021-08-05) Mustafa Barday: I hovered over things and its not unblurring
- (2021-05-23) minjin8686 Lee: Works perfectly well and is so good If you have a few wishes, turn off the over an image function I wish it could be locked with a password.
- (2021-05-18) AM Guru Prasath: Wish it had option to filter websites
- (2021-04-16) B D: Useful
- (2021-04-13) Chris Steele (Ethan Hines): Hardly works at all and requires turning it on each time for each site!
