This extension tries to make your 9GAG experience better. It adds controls to video posts, regulates the audio volume, removes ads, hides promoted content and allows you to zoom in on posts.
Check out the GitHub repository for this project linked as "Homepage". Open an issue there to report a bug or request a feature. You can also use the chrome web store "Support" tab to do that.

- (2025-02-25) allelseaside: Pretty much exactly what I was looking for! Gone is the repetitive unmute, right-click/show controls. Thank you so much! If I could ask for one thing: Could you make the Download button download full-sized images? That would get rid of the need to click and open every image I'd like to keep. I've also noticed that when I open a post with either a video (gif?) or image, the 9gag cotrols are mostly there, except the download button is missing. Thanks again for your hard work!

- (2024-05-08) Yazid KHALDI: 5 minutes ago, I was scrolling through 9GAG when I noticed a pattern in my behavior: I consistently performed three actions—unmuting, right-clicking, and showing all controls. I jokingly remarked to myself that this repetitive behavior might be pain in the S , and perhaps I should develop extension to automate it. I quickly checked the "Video and Audio APIs" page and ran some tests in the console. Then, I searched here and discovered your extension. Overall, thank you—it's been very helpful.
- (2024-05-06) oappi: works well. There seems to be small bug on "home" section of 9gag where header drops lower because there is temporary ad. For some reason this plugin seems to disable it and header is left in the middle of the page. Where as plugin disabled it will show ad for second or two then header is pulled back to original position. Seems to happen only on "home" section.
