• (2025-07-22) mars_chan: it's great! there's just one problem that other people are mentions as well, the chapter stats doesn't show up even though it's enabled. other than that this extension is really nice :D
• (2025-06-23) Felix Lupin: I love the extension overall, but like many other people were saying, it doesn't show the chapter statistics when the update date part of the chapter statistics is on, which IS part of the entire reason I downloaded the extension in the first place.... Overall, still very good, but disappointing that that's missing now

However, seconding what the person on March 29 said - I really miss the indicator showing that a work is already bookmarked. It's actually why I downloaded the extension in the first place! It's still five stars even without that, but I would be incredibly happy if it was added back in :)

• (2024-10-02) Amy Holbrook: Very satisfied with this overall, however, I can't get it to show the added chapter statistics. I had thought it was because my site skin was interfering for some reason (it's a pretty big visual overhaul, so I would not be surprised to find that it caused problems, it's done weird things to work skins occasionally) but I disabled the skin and the box is still not showing up. I am aware that this extension was broken and has only recently been fixed so maybe this was missed? Desired stats are date updated and chapter word count, the reading time stats will just make me feel bad about myself lol. Also, fully unrelated to extension but people who would use it would want to know this probably: in regards to anyone who would like to change the appearance of the site, ao3 users have access to a wide array of things you can use to modify the design! There are a long list of basic and limited default ones, for example, one that splits tags by type in browsing, and you can make your own (html for anything more complicated than playing with fonts and colors), or easier, copy paste someone else's site skin into the create section. You can find custom ones on tumblr and ao3. (On ao3, check the site skin tag, it's not canonical but there's a bunch.) You do have to have an account to do any of this but I'd recommend getting one anyway tbh, more and more fics are being locked to archive users only in order to protect them from being scraped by AI. I promise it doesn't take that long for your account to be approved. Anyway this tangent brought to you by me wanting to tell the review under me at this time (Tin Paudenovic) of the existence of site skins.
• (2024-09-15) Tin Paudenović: Works great! May I suggest a feature? Could you consider making the browsing page for works more like the view when you open a work? Specifically, separating tags into categories such as Relationships, Characters, Additional Tags, etc. The current layout feels a bit cluttered, making it difficult to find or exclude specific tags easily.
• (2024-09-13) Xznex: Very convienent extension but the update date part of the chapter stats seems to be causing the entire chapter stats to disappear when toggled on, the other 3 chapter stats toggles work normally but it's only when the update date is toggled on that it causes the entire thing to disappear in ao3
• (2024-08-31) Charles Watson: seems very convenient, will be recommending to all my ao3 friends, however I dont know if its just me but the "chapter stats" feature (above the notes and below the chapter title) isn't at the start of every chapter, not really a problem just a lil surprising
• (2024-08-16) Elaine: I Love it! It's the best AO3 extension for me. I use it mostly to hide unwanted tags and I haven't used anything since. Although, it got with the update, it would help very much to change the color of the add button for Hiding Author and Tags in dark mode, lol. I sometimes forget it was there and had to click everywhere to find the button, then ended up re-installing and going light mode to be able to see it. That happened twice now xD Aside from that, absolutely loving it!

• (2024-05-02) Gペイジ: Just downloaded the extension and it doesn't appear to do anything at all? If it is down temporarily it would be nice if it said so on the description or something. Mostly got this to have a way to make it immediately apparent when browsing if I have previously read, bookmarked, subscribed, or given kudos. Would be nice if you had a way to mark things as DNF or not interested too. Crossing fingers that it is functional soon. Will update score at that point.

Adding random fics from fandoms I do not know and I have never seen before to my history, and shuffling my read later around. I've spent countless hours keeping my read later organized by fandom and finished from unfinished works, so I can find something to read more easily since there's no filter system in the read later, and now that's all messed up. I now have to spend time reorganizing all 51 pages worth of fics once I remove this extension.

But... it messes with the history on AO3, which I used to keep track of how many stories I'd read. I assume because it scanned fics for unwanted tags, it counted those fics as "read" and added it to history. It also meant I had tags I absolutely abhorred in my history, which I couldn't tolerate. I genuinely hope a way to stop history being altered is possible, so I can re-add this extension. Beautiful add-on, thank you <3

Although, I do have an idea for a new feature: the ability to hide tags on works. I could, for example, choose to make the Major Character Death tag invisible to keep the death a surprise. However if you're like me and you're just looking for a replacement for ao3rdr you're not going to like how it changes the formatting on a fic's stats. Even with everything but author, tag and language blacklisting turned off it messes with how the stats are formatted.

I really wish this was also useful on mobile since I can't really carry my computer anywhere. Oh also, I recommend making the "... unless this work has one of these tags" to be with each tag you deadlist, since there are tags I absolutely despise, but others I wouldn't really mind if they had other themes going on. If there was a work with a tag I despise, but having that example I made for lighter tags would make the "hide works with these tags" ineffective.
