Adds various configurable tweaks and enhancements to the fanfiction website ArchiveOfOurOwn.org.
Current enhancements/features:
- Improves blurb (work) stats:
- Shows Reading time and Finish reading at
- Shows Kudos/Hits ratio, making it easier to find the amazing works.
- Adds whole new Chapter stats to each chapter
- Shows Reading time and Finish reading at
- Shows Published date for each chapter
- Allows hiding works when searching/browsing, based on:
- The language of the work, and/or
- How many fandoms the work is in (is it a crossover?), and/or
- Is it written by certain authors?, and/or
- Does it have certain tags?
- Can show icons for works you already know about.
- Works that you have given kudos to
- Works that you have subscribed to
- Works that you have bookmarked
- Various style customizations: (only the 1 for now)
- Adjust the width of a work, making reading on large displays easier
- Show stats as columns to make them easier to read at a glance
- Force allignment of work text
Furthermore i strive to make the addon at least as accessible as AO3 itself.
Please do report an issue if that is not the case.
Most of these features are disabled by default.
After installation go to ArchiveOfOurOwn.org and click the new menu button “AO3 Enhancements Options” to go to the options screen.
No data is ever sent to any servers except AO3, everything is stored in your browser.

- (2023-08-18) GhostyTrickster: This is a really good extension, but I really wish it wouldn't mess up my history and read later. It adds totally random stuff to my history and that kinda ruins it for me, other than that though it's pretty helpful!
- (2023-07-20) Al L: I really wanted to like this for some of the features, but it totally messed up my history and read later. Adding random fics from fandoms I do not know and I have never seen before to my history, and shuffling my read later around. I've spent countless hours keeping my read later organized by fandom and finished from unfinished works, so I can find something to read more easily since there's no filter system in the read later, and now that's all messed up. I now have to spend time reorganizing all 51 pages worth of fics once I remove this extension.

- (2023-01-02) win: It was really really good, worked exactly how I'd hoped. I loved the tag blacklist and read time functions the most - they were so incredibly helpful and all I could've wanted. But... it messes with the history on AO3, which I used to keep track of how many stories I'd read. I assume because it scanned fics for unwanted tags, it counted those fics as "read" and added it to history. It also meant I had tags I absolutely abhorred in my history, which I couldn't tolerate. I genuinely hope a way to stop history being altered is possible, so I can re-add this extension. Beautiful add-on, thank you <3

- (2022-09-27) kate eleanor: This is one of the most useful extensions for anyone who uses AO3! It makes finding what I want to read so easy, I would be willing to pay money for it. Although, I do have an idea for a new feature: the ability to hide tags on works. Not to filter out works of that particular tag, since that's already a feature, but to make certain tags of your choosing invisible. I could, for example, choose to make the Major Character Death tag invisible to keep the death a surprise. But either way, I rated this extension five stars because it has an intuitive interface, is genuinely helpful, and is 100% worth downloading.
- (2022-06-27) Victoria Meierhoff: This extension works and it works well. However if you're like me and you're just looking for a replacement for ao3rdr you're not going to like how it changes the formatting on a fic's stats. Even with everything but author, tag and language blacklisting turned off it messes with how the stats are formatted.
- (2022-02-21) ᏦᎨᏁᏦᎽ: Honestly, I loved it. This is literally helping with all of the problems I ever had with Ao3. I really wish this was also useful on mobile since I can't really carry my computer anywhere. Oh also, I recommend making the "... unless this work has one of these tags" to be with each tag you deadlist, since there are tags I absolutely despise, but others I wouldn't really mind if they had other themes going on. If there was a work with a tag I despise, but having that example I made for lighter tags would make the "hide works with these tags" ineffective.

- (2021-12-24) Synæsthesia: Very helpful extension, but there is one issue, presumably caused by the tracking function, that needs to be fixed: when I go to History, works that I've never seen or accessed would show up (and I don't think this is a case of hacking since it has continued to occur after I changed my password). Many of them come from works shown on user pages that I've visited (their works, bookmarks, etc.), and others even come from simply browsing a tag/search results. This was not an issue before I started using this extension.

- (2021-02-20) Vannah Carmichael: All around this is incredibly convenient for someone who reads a ton on the site. The only complaint I have is that when going through my history tab with the 'bookmarked' icon showing I get the white screen with 'retry later' a lot. This is a fairly common problem for me but with the extension I can barely go five pages without the site freaking out. Everything else is perfect and it really helps when searching for new fics.
- (2020-11-27) Erin Hoover: I've been using this a week, and I've already recommended it to bunch of people. One thing of note is when viewing stories in "Entire Work" mode, some features don't work, like seeing the if Kudos have already been left or individual chapter word counts/upload date. But besides that, it's made me AO3 experience a lot better. thank you!

- (2020-07-12) Amanda Cooper: This is a good and comprehensive AO3 extension. The only issue I've had is when I set my reading speed at over 400 words for the time estimate, but other than that, it works like a dream! I really like how the tags blocked just stop the fic from appearing, and don't use AO3's own fic filtering system. Sometimes I want to block a ship from a specific fandom but it looks strange in the filter list, or I want to block an extremely obscure kink that would also look strange on the sidebar all the time. The system that this uses is great!!
