Read more focused

Image from store Fready
Description from store Stay focused for longer and spend less time reading. Ideal for students and people with a lot of reading to go through! ⚛️ It works just like using your finger on a physical book thanks to the scientifically designed word pacer that simulates the ideal eye movement 🤖 It slows down on hard, long, rare, and scientific words, ensuring you stay laser-focused. 📜 It scrolls automatically when you reach the bottom of the page, allowing you to get fully immersed in the text. Developed by 2 university students with ❤️ and 🍺 🔒 Privacy Notice: Everything happens locally! We're planning to add support for IPFS, so in the future you will be able to save your articles and preferences in a decentralized way. No data are collected, everything happens locally in your computer. Check out the code on GitHub (https://github.com/freadyapp/fready )

  • (2024-02-09) Thinh Huynh: This is the best free speed reader I have ever found. Just install and let it work!
  • (2023-12-18) Dylan Easley: This is completely useless. It does nothing. I'm trying to read on the CompTIA CertMaster Learn site and when I click read it shows what I think is a table of contents for the class. It does not highlight the words on the page and pace my reading. This is such a disappointment.

  • (2021-06-19) Jeremy Dombrowski: I don't know why I can't go faster than 2000... It can't keep up and I find it very frustrating. Why the arbitrary limit? Let the user dictate the limit, not some arbitrary and totally meaningless constant value. Why 2000, why not 1834? 2369? 2800? 3402? The definition of a minute is as arbitrary as this constant limit.

  • (2021-05-11) kris mantle: Love it. I spend a lot of time reading through documents and web pages and Freadly really helps me stay focused. The only way it could be better is if it worked with PDFs.

  • (2021-04-15) Mathan raj: It's really amazing idea. If implement with the Brain reading score, Plus some kind system can understand the itself where click again and again complications to read the word or lost the focus point missing. so only if this text yellow is the focus point then you can check the number of click. but this one is nice btw.

  • (2021-03-10) Remo G: Good idea. Terrible implementation. 1. You need to log in to your account every single day, even if using the extension 2. Articles get deleted after 30 days for non-paying users, without warning. How about stopping saving new articles instead of deleting the existing ones? What a terrible way of implementing a freemium business model 3. Buggy. My whole library of articles recently dissapeared 4. Fixes take ages to get implemented. The "daily login" bug has been reported end of January in another review and still persists

  • (2021-02-18) Kavin Sood: Oh my gosh this is brilliant. It's definitely a productivity booster, and also removes a lot of unwanted stuff from the website. I do have some suggestions for improvements. First of, when you tap double space and it starts working and you reach the bottom of the page, the page moves down with a big jerk. If that was a smoother transition, it would look much better, especially if you have a high wpm. Also, on some websites where there are images, it sometimes stops over them and I have to press space again and sometimes I have leaned back in my chair watching my page move slowly and I have to go to my keyboard again. Other than that, it's pretty good.
