Reply to long emails point-by-point. Highlight text, press a button, and the quote shows up in your compose window.
We add a button to your compose window. When replying, you can highlight text you want to respond to, push our button, and we'll add the quoted text right in your compose view.
Also, you might like my other extension, which lets you take notes from your tab:

- (2021-08-13) Saulo Chonay: It works. When you reply and the recipient reads the email sees the highlighted area knowing that it has been quoted but if you the recipient opens the email in a third party mobile app (other that Gmail app, specifically Spark App), it just displays as regular text, not even in quotes or brackets. Still is a great tweak. Thank you.
- (2021-06-17) Damion Brown: I love it, should totally be a default feature in Gmail. Is there any way to map a keyboard shortcut, to avoid having to scroll down to hit the Quote button below the compose window?
- (2021-02-25) Joe Mezzanini: Very useful extension that works well. Should be native to gmail. Thanks for inventing this.
- (2021-01-27) Elizabeth Kriesten: This is just simply helpful. Thanks for creating it!
- (2020-10-29) Aditya Bhaskar (Adi): Simple and awesome. Thank you! Is the code open source and available anywhere? It'd be useful if the selected text is copied and pasted 'above' the original email, where I can reply. Instead of replying solely inline as at the moment.

- (2020-07-07) Richard Chen: This is a pretty convenient tool for quoting things in previous emails. Intuitive and easy to use.
