If you want to download from youtube, you can do it easily, but that's not why we want it obviously. Make your extension useful or dont upload it with the millions of other video downloaders. - (2021-07-27) Mike Savad: while it does find files, it seems to have to download it twice, once to go to its own site and another to download it to your machine. making me think i'm using twice the bandwidth. it seems to work though, it sees the video any way. i just wish it went directly on my machine without a third party seeing it. i also installed their software and have no idea where it went, what it does or how to use it. or if its even related to the extension.

This one worked for the site I was using, so I'm happy and will keep it installed. As another reviewer said, it's a slightly unusual process in that it opens another tab with a "start download" button on it, and downloads the video in that and then gives you a "save to disk" button, but it saved the actual video to disk, which was a pleasant surprise.

Weird... But it also scraped a video off a page that three other video downloaders couldn't even see, so at the end of the day it works and I'm happy.
