Enables Chrome to display colored emojis even if your OS does not support it. Replaces the default emojis with Twemoji (Twitter emoji library).
Twemoji (v14.0 as of this publishing) adheres to the Unicode 14.0 spec and supports the Emoji 14.0 spec. More Twemoji info here:

Quick background:
I use a Windows 7 machine where color emojis are not supported. I used several other extensions but noticed that they were rather old and did not support newer emojis. I couldn't find an updated one so I decided to create my own. Works great on my machine, so hopefully it also works correctly on yours.
Limitations:
* Only replaces emojis that are already available during the initial page load. Emojis added after via ajax, lazy-loading or other scripts will not be affected.
* Only works if browser is connected to the internet. It pulls emoji data from the internet, so replacement emojis may not appear if you're offline.
* Also, replacement emojis will not appear when viewing local HTML files.
* Uses SVG files for the replacement images so may cause issues if your browser has poor support for SVGs.
* A 2-second delay was added when loading twemojis in YouTube since YouTube partially adds/pulls/shows content on a on-demand basis. If you feel that this extension has made YouTube slow or unusable, kindly disable or uninstall this extension.
* May interfere with websites that interact with or are reliant on text emojis for their functionality. If this occurs, kindly disable or uninstall this extension.
Advantages:
* Replaces the default emoji set if you're not happy with the default emoji that comes with your OS.
* Adds emoji support to Chrome, even if not supported by the OS.
* Flags are shown correctly as actual flags, instead of the two-letter combo.

Solo tengo un pequeño problema, y es que cuando ingreso a YouTube, los títulos de algunos vídeos que usan emojis a veces se repiten en otros, o se descuadran, o sea, salen títulos de algunos vídeos en otros vídeos de otro nombre, haciendo que se repitan y llegue a confundir el usuario. Espero que corrijan esa parte, de resto la extensión funciona bien.
- (2021-07-19) Zeph Cranney: This extension seems to be broken now. The website it tries to get emoji from (https://twemoji.maxcdn.com/v/latest/) gives a 404 error because the MaxCDN has renamed to Stackpath. Shame because it used to work perfectly.

- (2021-06-19) Tony S.: The emoji display feature works quite well and allows me to view emojis in websites like YouTube. Unfortunately, it also injects extra random messages into comments in front of the emoji (mostly anime/football related), which is undesirable and seems quite intrusive. (who knows what else is going on behind the scene). Please remove those random message injections and I might consider using it again.

...bugs, like it throws the text insertion point to the start and removing the emojis are painful, I can't simply delete them with a backspace or the del keys. I have to select one character of space (you know, it turns blue...). And even then it's not a reliable way to delete, because you can delete your text, Using ctrl+Z is more reliable. Just a pain in the A.. Other than that it shows all the emojis, for some reason my Chrome doesn't show all the emojis. Hi! I really like your extension, I vastly prefer Twemoji over the ugly Windows 10 default system emoji! However I've noticed the extension kinda breaks Twitter's compose box for Tweets & replies when you try to add emojis :c Would it be possible for you to update this extension to ignore Twitter? Their emoji is already Twemoji so it's redundant and causes this bug, so I think that would be a nice change. If you aren't still actively developing this or don't want to implement this change, I understand of course. (Also I did try to disable this extension on Twitter using Chromium's extension manage tools, but it only has options to enable it on *specific* sites or make it disabled on all sites by default, which would be a hassle for something I want to run on all sites except for 1 :p) Anyway, hope this finds you well! Would be nice to see the emoji description on hover like in Twitter. I see you are using the alt attribute for a fallback emoji? Maybe a css tooltip or an option to choose what the alt attribute shows? But thank you so much for this, I spent hours looking for a solution before I found your extension. Really made my day!
