• (2023-08-30) Jason Walls: This is absolutely phenomenal, perfect for watching unscripted YouTube webshows that have lots of pauses. My favorite use for it is for watching Critical Role - it makes watching that show 10x better and can cut out a good 10% or more of boring silence at times. If I could give the creator one suggestion, it would be to add a whitelist feature with wildcard support, so that one could make this extension only work on certain YouTube playlist urls, for example. A blacklist feature would be nice too. Those would just be luxuries, as the hotkey to toggle the extension does work fine already (as long as I remember to hit it when I switch between videos I want to speed up and those I don't.)

Only probem is that sometimes video and audio mismatch, if there is a lot of silenced parts, but a quick five second reverse can fix that

I came across jumpcutter (from carykh) a while ago but that program is just too cumbersome which cannot process long videos efficiently and this on-the-fly version is way better. Seems that carykh has diviated from the original purpose of jumping through silence part and instead positions his project as a creative vlog editing tool. One sugguestion that I have for this extension is that I gess it's better to allow the user to set a pattern to match the websites that he wants to run jumpcutter on. I guess people can do this with some other extensions like NooBoss but I personally only uses this for local files, and I cannot disable the extension when I am not on that page because otherwise I just cannot access the page anymore.
