This extension gives you the ability to customize how your Google search results look like.
What does this extension do?
This extension allows you to customize how your Google Search results are displayed. You can:
Remove, Move, Color the link of the webpage in the search result.
Remove, Make the Ads stand out(make ad more obvious, make ad really obvious).
Remove Emojis from titles and descriptions of search results.
Remove other stuff Google inserts in the search results(“People also ask”, “Top News”, …).
Remove "AI Overview" from serach results.
Why I made it?
Some time ago Google changed how their search results appear. Ads use to be obvious compared to regular search results.
After the update, it is way harder to tell the difference between an ad and a genuine search result. What Google is trying to do here is increase the CTR for their ads by trying to blend them in with the regular search results.
Compared to how Google Search results looked years ago there are now fewer results per page and the pages contain a bunch of other clutter that you might or might not find useful.
I don’t really appreciate how they have changed the search results in the past years. If you don’t either you can use this extension I made to clean them up.
I didn’t make this extension for profit. As mentioned above I made this extension because I didn’t appreciate the new look of the Google search results and I knew there were a lot of people who didn’t either.
I also thought this would be a good opportunity to learn how to make a web browser extension and document the progress on my blog(You can find source code my Github page). The extension is free and will continue to remain so. Feel free to copy any of the code or fork the project and make your own version of the extension with other/different features.
Privacy and Guarantees
The extension doesn’t collect any information at all. It only saves the setting you choose in the extension and saves it in your browser(Feel free to look at the code.).
I make no guarantees that this extension will be without bugs or that I will keep updating it. Bugs can be reported on the projects Github page.

- This extension was always wonderful because it always reduced the Google search results to the essentials. Since the update, Google Search no longer works in Google Chrome-based browsers, Google Search only works if you have deactivated the extension. In Firefox and Firefox-based browsers, everything works as usual. At first, I really thought that the ad blockers were to blame, so I deactivated u-Block origin and Adblock Plus, but the ad blockers are not to blame.

- It's a placebo. It's doesn't block those ads that go before the actual "results" of a search. They disappear for like 1 second then come right back. It's the only reason i installed it and it can't even do that. I really wanted it to work too, i was so sick of Google being nothing but a ad tracking system. Before i reinstalled Windows 11 on my computer, i had found a way to block them out by a random series of settings on uBlock Origins but i didn't back them up so i lost the one, true solution i had found to actually keeping Google's relentless ads at bay.

- This was amazingly useful before, but thank you for adding the option to remove the AI garbage at the top of Google search results. Just when I think Google can't make any more silly decisions, they do. This extension makes Google useable.

- 100% breaks Youtube videos. They play 1 second then rewind. Even if it didn't, I'm highly confused by the menu. For instance, it just says "remove URL". Which URL? I want block every search result that even mentions McAvee, but I don't see how to do it. I just want to right click a link and choose to hide the darn thing.

- This is actually really good! After months of that stupid ai overview giving me confidently false information, I'm glad to have found an extension that can remove it as well as all the other crap that annoys me about google search today. I can't believe we live in a world where an extension like this is necessary! Such a shame to see how far google has fallen from what they were back in the day 😔

- Unfortunately, this has gotten increasingly unusable over time, as it's outright started blocking entire google searches for no reason (shows results for a split second before hiding them all). This has been an issue for a while, but not it's nearly every other search, so I've had to disable it. Still giving 5 stars because I've gotten fantastic service out of this extension, but I guess Google got to the point of intentionally making it more miserable to use.

- This is a godsend! In 2022, Google Search is really underwhelming. Too many SEO nonsense preventing an actual result that helps me. At least now, I don't have to worry about the FOUR ads they put up nowadays. (4 is too much). And on top of that, I can remove all this extra clutter like "People also asked" and images etc. (if I wanted what people also asked, that's what I would have asked, ya know?). Never even realized how annoying those additions really are. Thank you to the creators of this extension! Saved me!

- Ahh this is such a relief! I just wish I could chose between different colors. The white one makes the text hard to read on a dark theme.

- It successfully removes search ads in Opera GX, but make sure to check "Allow access to search page results" in Manage Extensions. Color URL doesn't work in dark mode though.
