Description from extension meta

Replaces the standard twitch player with a custom one that supports DVR.

Image from store Twitch DVR player
Description from store Never miss an exciting moment again with Twitch DVR (not actually affiliated with Twitch in any way). Replace the standard Twitch player with one that supports rewinding to any point in the stream! Jump back and forth between live and previous content. Installing the extension will automatically replace the Twitch player with a player that supports DVR. You can toggle between the DVR player and the regular Twitch player at any time. NOTE: Twitch has added a feature that stops VODs from auto-publishing on some channels (streamer can toggle this on and off). This breaks Twitch DVR Player and unfortunately there's nothing I can do about this if the streamer has it on (they might not know). Release notes: 1.4.13 - Added Theater Mode button - Added clearer error messages around clipping and rewind - Fix bug with clipping VODs 1.4.12 - Sad update: add error screen showing why extension does not work - Fix issue on Edge where unmuting does not resume stream 1.4.11 - Critical bug fix: stops responding to key presses in chat input box 1.4.10 - Makes clipping more reliable - Enables clipping in DVR mode

  • (2023-10-28) Juan (J): Not bad but it has to be MORE PRECISE. We need to be able to be 10 seconds behind, or even 5 seconds behind without it jumping to LIVE. It's to use it as radio together with a football game for example, so you can watch the game muted, and hear your fav streamer narrating it at the same time.
  • (2023-08-23) Tony S.: Works great, doesn't have playback speed option. It would be great if there was a playback speed option in the settings, as this would allow me to get caught up to the live stream.
  • (2023-06-03) llesmana: The playbar appears, but i can't make a clip from specific time, always clip from current time. pls fix it
  • (2023-06-01) Jose Luis Estevez Parente: No funciona, llevo tiempo con ella y no se que habéis hecho que no funciona
  • (2023-05-31) Trainer Blue: It has stopped working. Now the possibility of rewinding the live video does not even appear. The playbar no longer appears.
  • (2023-05-28) Kaloian Kaloian: when in audio streams perfect for amount of time and then start skipping seconds
  • (2023-05-07) John Lisby: doesn't work, even with adblock disabled. best i can get is a couple seconds of audio. takes forever to load even that.
  • (2023-04-21) Molnar Gabor: Works perfect rewind while stream still live!!! Update idea: way of shorter jump control, 30 sec and 5 minutes for example.
  • (2023-03-25) kauã almeida: funciona e é bastante útil
  • (2023-03-05) The RATifier: Actually works, but unfortunately doesn't work with the twitch adblock extension.
  • (2023-03-04) nmsanimaz: since a few weeks the option is greyed out and i dont get the prompt on stream to rewind :(
  • (2023-03-01) Kyoro Kyoro: It has stopped working. Now every time I decide to rewind in the player, it goes back to live instantly, it seems that it's something common for everyone and not just something isolated.
  • (2022-12-06) The Nilson: it works bad. you can back 30 seconds and more, but not less. so, its useless for Sports or E-Sports.
  • (2022-09-20) Mune NightWalker: Bro, cause conflict with OMV gui (openmediavault). Use something to dont act in localhost ip, and privates ips, something like "only in twitch".
  • (2022-08-26) Navid Mahdavi: prefect extension but unfortunately you can't back and forward shorter range of time. in long streams like dota tournament which is longer than 8 hours shortest time you only back and forward is few minutes which sucks. if you miss team fight which was seconds ago only option is watching game from minutes ago.
  • (2022-08-17) Paul Kara: Great extension! Works perfect with an ad-blocker on Twitch. My only question is, are there any hotkeys to rewind back/forward different amounts of time? Some longer streams the time-bar handle is very sensitive to mouse movement.
  • (2022-08-10) Aarón “CODE R4” González Romero: No entiendo porqué no estan habilitadas estas configuraciones, son muy utiles
  • (2022-06-25) Steve Slater: Scuffed, Doesn't work.
  • (2022-06-14) Gareth: I tap back arrow once to go back. Looking at the time shown, I should be watching 30 seconds earlier. But what I am watching is actually like 5 minutes earlier. So I tap forward arrow once and I'm still around 5 minute earlier mark. Then I tap forward again and I am caught up with the live stream. What???
  • (2022-06-06) amira adam: every time i try to go back i just get a "commercial break in progress" message and wait 15 seconds for the live stream to just return.
  • (2022-06-04) Fadi Al-zahrani: I thought this plays back "current" live vid and not go to the previous vod
  • (2022-06-03) impietas: worked well for a while but now when i try to rewind a stream it just sends me back to the current time and gives an ad
  • (2022-05-22) Mateus Lima: Just what I wanted! something to rewind a twitch stream.
  • (2022-05-06) Jake A: Does work! Doesn't resume from where you paused, you need to note the timestamp you left off on and navigate there manually. Addresses the main issue, inconveniently though (though convenient enough to be a great add to your extensions).
  • (2022-04-19) Jan Kozik: It's great as it is, now you can pause and go to the toilet in the middle of 12h long marathon xD It would be even better if it allowed to put the DVR to go slightly faster (like on youtube) to get caught up to where the livestream currently is. Other than that, it does what it says it does, so can't complain too loud
  • (2022-04-09) Yamaan Bakir: This extension had the possibility to be great but it seems it's been bricked at the moment so it currently just throws you back to live when you try to rewind.
  • (2022-03-25) Cryonic: It's not working for me. It just jumps back to live whenever I try to rewind. Please help, thanks.
  • (2022-03-14) Jack “The Mangolorian” St Clair: FIXED previous issue Thanks for the Fix Karl! However, I'm now experiencing an issue with the playback function on MOST streams but not all, as its just jumping back to LIVE unless I rewind at least 1.5 hours back. If I pause for 1 min or even over 10 mins it will jump straight back to live I'm hoping you could fix this issue as well! Cheers and thanks for the hard work, your awesome! Previous NOW FIXED issue: "Every time I type in chat and use SPACE BAR it Pauses the stream and is very annoying, otherwise its a perfect extension but the spacebar thing just ruins the experience. Please fix this issue or allow us to turn Space bar pause off!"
  • (2022-03-11) Vince Aggrippino: When typing in chat, every time the spacebar is pressed, the video pauses/un-pauses. This is a deal-breaker for me.
  • (2022-01-31) VIT: add speed control pls
  • (2022-01-14) Josh Ferguson: This is exactly what I wanted. I thought it would use some hard drive to save what I already watched, like a normal DVR, but no, the Twitch API apparently gives access to the whole stream already. I have no idea why this is not the base behavior of Twitch, but it's amazing not to have to worry about missing anything.
  • (2021-10-27) Dave O: great extension.
  • (2021-10-25) Andro Margens: New fix works perfectly! Thank you for the update :)
  • (2021-10-20) Mikko Jauhiainen: Stopped working
  • (2021-10-13) Tom Salmond: Worked perfectly. Great extension!
  • (2021-09-23) Jay lay: Great extension but there's an issue with the clips. I can't use the clipping function at all (on any channel), I have to switch for the regular player for it to work.
  • (2021-09-18) Janis Daugavietis: Rewinding works OK, but pausing is currently broken (aka you click pause and it gets paused but when you unpause it jumps to LIVE instead of playing next moment)
  • (2021-06-26) P: Doesn't work
  • (2021-05-01) 10 . AM: this is amazing, thank you so much !!!!!!!!!!
  • (2021-03-14) Name nicht verfügbar: Working! Thank you. Would be nice if you integrate the player into the native player or at least integrate some buttons (make clips etc.).
  • (2021-02-21) Mikhail Osminkin: Good player (twitch) for Microsoft Edge. But i don't know what about collecting my data. Better to use it in Edge, especcially if you have 2 monitors and you like to move stream to your second. I didn't notice any lags compare to defaults Edge problems with default Twitch player. 10 out of 10. If you wanna use Theater mode use Alt+T for it.
  • (2020-12-16) Rémi S: So good !!! Can you add theatre mode please ?
  • (2020-11-20) José Bezerra - TVJB Corridas: a Twitch DVR player Esta Funcionando Muito bem, Não Trava Nada a Live Até Fica Mais Estável a Live em todas as Qualidades Da Live quando esta no switch to DVR Player que fica no topo Direito da Tela da live e Pode fazer essa troca instantaneamente com uma interface Simples Mais além de ter nas qualidade o modo só áudio e só Precisa de pequenas arrumadas para ser Perfeito a Extensão o Que Poderia Ter Para ficar Perfeito a Extensão Twitch DVR player 1º Poderia Ter Uma Bola Cinza quando a Pessoa tive usando a barra de tempo da Live e quando Apertasse essa Bola cinza voltaria direto para a Live Ao vivo com Aquele Bola Vermelho que indica que a live que você esta assistindo esta Ao Vivo 2º Quando você Tiver Navegando em Outro tempo Da Live, Poderia ter o Botão de Clip para Clipar e conseguir Fazer o Clip daquele Tempo De Live OBS: Alt + X mesmo você navegando em outro tempo da live e não no ao vivo, ele esta Clipando só o Clip do Ao vivo e não no tempo que você esta assistindo se ajeitar isso eu dou nota máxima com recomendação para todos como extensão Top para usar the Twitch DVR player is working very well, it doesn't lock anything to live until it is more stable to live in all qualities of live when it is on the switch to DVR player which is at the top right of the screen of the live and you can make this exchange instantly with a Simple interface More just needs small tidies to be Perfect What Could Have To Be Perfect The Twitch Extension DVR player 1st I could have a gray ball when the person had it using the Live time bar and when I pressed that gray ball I would go straight back to Live Live with that Red Ball that indicates that the live you are watching is Live 2º When you have been browsing in another time of Live, You could have the Clip Button to Clip and be able to Clip that Time of Live OBS: Alt + X even if you are browsing in another time of the live and not in the live, it is Clipping only the Live Clip and not the time you are watching to fix this I give top marks with recommendation for everyone as a Top extension to use
  • (2020-09-29) Jacob Nelson: Works perfectly.. just wish clipping would show up for me.
  • (2020-09-28) ian smith: This is great!! Quite often I find myself wanting to rewind on a live stream to see something I barely missed and this works soooo much better than having to click away to view the streamer profile, going under videos, clicking on the vod, and spending time tracking down where I was just at. Thank you :) Now if only there was some way to bring the "continue watching" section that already exists on mobile to the Desktop version heh.
  • (2020-09-01) Lexi Alexandra: OH MY GOD THANK YOUUUUUU
  • (2020-08-20) Nick Cade: Can you make it so we can use theater mode with this?
  • (2020-08-14) Fabian Gärtner: Does not work with FFZ (control buttons in player)
  • (2020-08-09) Andrew Larsen: Super useful. I always wondered why twitch didn't have this normally. Works perfectly.
  • (2020-08-08) Michiman: Just downloaded it and tried it out, It works exactly as it said it would. Only one small thing, the numbers when I scroll through the "timeline" on twitch are light gray numbers on a white background. Still legible just hardish to read.
