Based on the Auto Text Expander by carlinyuen (https://github.com/carlinyuen/ChromeAutoTextExpander), Power Text is a Google Chrome Extension that allows you to define text shortcuts.
This version has been expanded to support pulling information from a Power Apps model-driven form.

- Auto-capitalize and auto-all-caps support Capitalize the first letter in a multi-letter shortcut, type the full shortcut in caps to trigger all-caps, or disable it entirely in the settings. Cannot see that option on settings, i dont wanna care about keyborad on caps key all the time

- Both backup and export are broken. Backup shows a warning that doesn't do anything when accepted, and export always gives an empty JSON ( {} ) even if I have several shortcuts saved.

- I've been using this for years. As some negative reviews state, it briefly stopped working. I beleive this was down to Google, and the developer sorted the issue and relaunched it working well again. This proves it is being well looked after and more trustworthy to use. I thank the developers for this product which saves me a lot of typing on a daily basis, without a subscription, or faff from other services.

- deleted after 5 days of use, would input the shortcut, the text popped up, then when I pressed send it woud send the person the shortcut only. Not user error, I have been using these types of tools for years, its the tool

- Every time I move to another desktop I loose all my shortcuts. It does never save them.

- I absolutely adore this extension! I truly wish it were compatible with "x.com" and "WhatsApp Web". Could you provide insights on how to achieve this, or perhaps inform us of any ongoing efforts to update its functionality?

- Don't know if it's good or not, but definitely is made for tech-heads, not normal everyday users. Couldn't make heads or tails on it about how to use it.

- Hey PT for GC, why does it say "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." Is there a reason you are leaving, any backup to the tool? I would like to keep using this forever

- Works with Gmail. After install, refresh gmail page and it works ;-)

- Doesn't allow to backup or export the data. If it did, I'd love it! Without it, there's too much work to put into creating the shortcuts to potentially get all lost.

- It's complicated. NEVER click on Backup option. Make sure you save them by clicking Import/Export button then copy all of the shortcuts and paste it somewhere in your email or something. If you loose them you will be able to get them back from that. Hope this helps.❤️

- does not work anymore, issue just started yesterday. i was tolerating the times when the text expands, the cursor goes anywhere it likes, but this time.. it's not working anymore. good times when it was working perfectly for 2 years.
