- (2023-12-20) Stert Quarry Farm: Since Jan 2023 Windows/ Chrome updates Dropbox p/w no longer works. However I have created a fix. Take off the Extension from Chrome. Close Chrome & restart machine. Open Chrome. Go to Windows shop & download Dropbox Extension for Chrome. If u fail to get the security synchronisation (that happened to me), as a workaround u select the option not displayed to enter your 12 Dropbox Recovery words (see more options). Enter your 12 Dropbox Password recovery security words. This will re-verify the Dropbox Password in Chrome. Why do we pay Dropbox/ Lastpass etc for these services when so frequently they fail us & their customer support is so invalidating & stupid & unhelpful... Maybe Dropbox want to reach out to thank me & ask me to help them with support issues in the future?
- (2023-11-19) Tara Poilievre: We just transitioned from another password program and Dropbox is working great for us. The transition was easy and flawless. We use it on our PC's and it's quick and easy to set up.
- (2023-11-18) Diego Bermudez: If you're on the fence, jump in! I use it (and love it) every day.

- (2023-05-10) ChelleeBelle G.: I haven't had any issues. I have been using it for a couple of months before deciding to buy additional storage. I use other password savers, only because Microsoft has cured me of trusting technology!
- (2023-04-23) Alex Tst: I started using Dropbox Passwords recently, and even though I saw some bad reviews, I find it great for managing my passwords, What I really appreciate about Dropbox Passwords is that it just works. I don't have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to use it or troubleshoot issues.
- (2023-04-19) Ryan: Suddenly no longer works when our team was relying on it. Absolutely would avoid.
- (2023-03-16) Yolanda suggs: dropbox password does not work on my computer or my android a waste of time
- (2023-01-31) Spencer Clegg: I am really surprised this extension has 3 stars. I could hardly give it one. Their 2FA is so broken you can hardly use it. They need to lose the whole recovery words thing. Dropbox password is completely separate from Dropbox. You can tell it was developed by a different team and it is nowhere near being ready for prime time. It's really buggy and cumbersome to use. For years, I have used LastPass, NordPass, Onepass, and others. I thought Nordpass was the worst password manager but Dropbox pass just stepped in as the worst password manager I have yet used.
- (2023-01-24) Darren Swales: I wish I had read these review bore putting my faith into this extension. I have been a user of Dropbox for years and had nothing but praise for it. This PW manager is so buggy and sluggish I was beginning to think it was me. Yesterday 23rd January I got an email telling me that TripAdvisor had a data leak so should change my PW, and as usual I was using the same PW for about a dozen things. So I thought had found the golden goose when I spotted this on Dropbox, a completely different PW for everything and one that is synced in my DB account to mirror all my devises, hell yea, why would you not. So 36hrs later after pulling my hair out due to the sync function not working and finding out that instead of updating existing logins it creates duplicates, then manually having to type long secure PWs’ on your mobile to get you back online again and connected with your socials. Not to mention Google and Microsoft Two Step verification nightmare, I’ve just lost over 24hrs of my life that I will never get back and completely screwed up all my passwords and logins, Gunna be along night!. In principle a great idea, but does not work……
- (2023-01-03) Rendy Setiawan: Does not work anymore on chrome. I have tried in incognito mode and clear cache and cookies. Hope it get fixed soon.
- (2022-12-23) HSH: Nice when it works but both the browser extension and the Android app have a nasty habit of, about 1/3 of the time, freezing for several minutes when you try to open them.
- (2022-12-12) Amit Zangi: Needs the option to automatically minimize the system tray upon OS bootup
- (2022-09-16) Dirk Jan Kok: Looks very nice, but simply doesn't work. Starting with connecting the account and veryfing the login on my iphone: doesn't work. Then finally in I am browsing on site and never does dropbox ask to save a password nor does it automaitically. When I manually save some passwords it also doens't autofill. Unbeleivable how simply NON of the functions functions.
- (2022-08-26) tristan k: Tried to install to use on desktop (incl Mac using both Safari and Chrome) however, the loading of the extension always hang after a while, is there a limit on the number of entries on the wallet ? or what could be other reasons ? The App work fine on iPhone or Android although it does show a sign of lag or hang once in a while...that's the reason i ask if there is limit to the number of entries...
Benachrichtigung erneut senden
- (2022-05-10) Ciarán Carrick: Looking forward to seeing how it pans out!
- (2022-05-10) Bright Roar: It was really helpful in keeping my passwords across all devices synced, quick and easy! Love it
- (2022-04-11) Eric Lien: Simply doesn't work for me. I tried to set it up on my Pixel 4a, and it failed to work, and if I remember right, hung up or crashed. Now, when I open the app on that device, it says it's waiting for another device to give it permission to connect, but it Is the only device I've tried to set it up on. When I tried to set up the chrome extension on my laptop, it said to check my Pixel 4a to give it permission. So I'm stuck unless I want to wipe the account or use one of my backup codes. I can't recommend it if it is this buggy to set up. It's not going to be reliable enough to depend on.
- (2022-04-10) Amit Roy: It doesn't always work on all websites. For example Facebook. The other drawback it has set a limit of the number of passwords you can save, it is not unlimited. What's the harm if one uses Kaspersky Password Manager.
- (2022-01-04) Jay Matthews: The desktop version was a better experience.
- (2021-12-03) Quinton: It was a WAY better experience when it was a stand alone desktop app.
- (2021-12-01) pierre allais: Very good start. You should add a password generator and a form to edit the site parameters on the fly
- (2021-11-22) Jessie Ma: doesn't even sync properly between the Android app and Chrome plugin. If you don't sync my passwords what are you good for????
- (2021-11-19) Chris Zizi: Gets the job done for the most part with minor nuances, those being improperly adding information as login data such as 2 factor authentication codes or monetary values when conducting online payments such as a parking citation. The other nuance I found pertains to password suggestions in the app version being pretty unreliable. It seems the app struggles to discern whether you need a password suggested for an account or not and will take you to an "add account" screen by default versus the password suggestion toast that is supposed to pop up instead. Aside from those, the UI is clean, the functionality is present and it has been a huge time saver for me when forgetting log in info and not having to worry about remembering new log in info when making new accounts. Good UX, but lots of room for growth to be a great UX.

- (2021-11-18) Mauro Benedetto: semplice ed efficace, funziona bene
- (2021-10-05) Mike Mason: I used to use DropBox password standalone - it was great. This is a dreadful retrograde step. I'm not always on the internet, (not everywhere in the world has it), I can't work out how to have it load automatically, the instructions are non-existent, it doesn't auto-fill things like the old version used to. Total disaster really - why ever did they take a perfectly good product and 'improve' it.
- (2021-09-04) Martin M: MASSIVE MASSIVE disappointment. Clunky, only works sporadically, now they have ditched the deskptop app and I cant find the list of passwords! They've just phoned this one in.... hope they actually put some effort into it as would rather pay for a decent app rather than a half assed add on
- (2021-08-17) Nirmal Singh: I like the passphrase security option - I don't have to remember a long complicated password with special characters etc. 50 free passwords is plenty for me right now, open to upgrading but so far so good. I recommended it to my wife, who is notorious for forgetting passwords & account names. She didn't listen.
- (2021-08-12) Jay Davis: So far so good with DropBox passwords no complaint on my end ill give them a whopping 5 stars. i feel very confident and secure.
- (2021-08-12) Teddy Tiger: WARNING! UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE DO *NOT* LOSE YOUR RECOVERY WORDS. DROPBOX WILL NOT HELP YOU IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER IF YOU LOSE YOUR DEVICE, LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR DEVICE OR IN ANY WAY LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR RECOVERY WORDS. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF RECOVERY, INCLUDING FROM WITHIN YOUR *OWN* DROPBOX ACCOUNT. BACK UP YOUR PASSWORDS AND GET RID OF DROPBOX PASSWORDS!!
- (2021-08-12) Shaquon Kelley: Loving the app so far!
- (2021-08-11) Yi Zhang: Love it! With intuitive UI and works like a charm!
- (2021-08-10) Jialei Duan: Does Not support Chrome beta or Chrome Canary.
- (2021-07-15) John Zhang: Not sure if Dropbox has lost their minds hiring incompetent people doing this app. The app is a great idea. Implementation is horrible. It does not work on my broswer here. It does not work on my app. Dropbox should simply fire them all and fold up this program.
- (2021-03-29) Wayne Murray: All it seems to do is store your password. Does not auto fill your info when you go to a site. Does not auto launch to the site. Unless you want to copy and paste every time you go to a site I find to to be useless.
- (2021-03-21) Sally Groom: Couldn't even get it to work. The extension wouldn't recognise the app. Uninstalled and reinstalled both several times, and played around with the order I did it, with no success. I'll stick to LastPass until such time as this gets better.
- (2021-03-16) Steve Long: I tried to switch to the Dropbox app from LastPass due to LastPass' money grab. I'm terribly disappointed with the Dropbox app. CONS: -- Doesn't recognize the username and / or password field on many regular HTML websites. -- Doesn't recognize the username and / or password field on most JavaScript login popups. -- The chrome extension forces the user to download the standalone app from the Windows Store. -- Said Windows Store app doesn't support right click copy and pasting (use CTRL-C and CTRL-V). -- Windows Store app doesn't remember it's window size or position. I tried maximizing and also dragging the border to make the view bigger. Every time the app was closed the window size reset to the default (too tiny) view. -- No folder organization. -- No duplicate password audit. -- No darkweb audit for compromised passwords. -- Since there's no folder organization, the only way to organize passwords is by manually prepending the password's site title with some sort of label, ie. Social Media - Facebook; Social Media - Instagram; Social Media - Twitter; etc. But it's impossible to edit the site title on the initial save. The only way to edit is to save with whatever default title the password gets {quite often login.acount.com or some such), then open the Windows Store app and scour the list of passwords to find the entry (with no organization, headings, or white space, then manually edit the title. Very labor intensive and a waste of time. -- Updated passwords create a new, duplicate entry instead of recognizing existing URLs. -- The process of updating passwords is backwards clunky and causes the old password to be overwritten before the new password is confirmed and saved. Copy paste your old password to notepad until the new password is confirmed and saved by the website! -- There's no way to generate a one-time OR a first-time password for new account creation. To generate one-time passwords, the user has to add a new entry, generate the password, then exit without saving. To generate a first-time password, the user has to add a dummy entry, generate the password, and save the dummy entry. Then go back into the list of passwords to find the entry (see above ... /sigh), and edit it with the correct account information for the new account. Bad, bad, design. -- No deleted items archive or recycle bin. -- Using the text entry fields in the generator settings cause the app to crash to desktop. PROS: -- There's a copy username feature (that's all ... /shrug) Frankly, the entire experience is clunky and half-a$$ed. I'll be switching password managers (again) ASAP.
- (2020-12-20) Rastarr: As a long time Dropbox user, I find the password manager cumbersome and difficult to use. And that's when it works which is seldom. You guys need some (or all of) Folder, Tags and Categories. Also being able to import via JSON would be extremely helpful in my moving from Enpass. Under macOS, I don't see any menu option addition, the same as other Pswd Managers either. I'll look at Dropbox Passwords in another 6 months to see if it's gotten any better. I hope it does as I'd prefer to use Dropbox
