Super useful for co working, hanging out, studying w classmates, whatever. I've recommended it to tons of my friends and use it every day!
• (2020-09-25) PRODIGY OF COMP SCI: It is advertised as valuing privacy, but I don't see any user privacy at all because of how much data the creator collects! The creator of sesame is able to track everything you do on sesame. They store: - IP Address - Location - Status and Knock Messages permanently logged - call info is permanently logged - Name, email (obviously) Maddie can: - join any call at her will - sell your data with a changing privacy policy The creator wants me out for dead, but by doing that, she is only admitting that she does all of the above. I would not recommend this app. Also there are hackers on the app that can join any call they want. Not a good user experience, as I had that happen to me before. >:( EDIT 1: Her reply didn't mention mixpanel, which is for analytics. Through mixpanel, she can access every status, every nickname, every call ID, every knock message ever sent, and every title ever created FOREVER. And IP address. So even though technically she doesn't store it in firebase, it is stored in mixpanel forever which she can access. Anything that is done through Sesame for every user can be accessed by Maddie. She cannot record audio or video because Jitsi is a separate thing, so even though it may seem all good and all, it doesn't help the fact that she stores a lot of data about its users. Firebase is the database that gets edited and deleted for info but everything can be seen on mixpanel, which you didn't even mention at all in your reply, for obvious reasons. The creator influenced the reviews because they are her friends or have something in common (Mainly young high school kids, Maddie is 4 years older). I am completely independent giving you my honest opinion about this app. She is trying to hide honest people by her friends and not addressing anything or giving out specific details! EDIT 2: Maddie deleted her reply after my edit. Unprofessional Display!.

It's been really helpful in terms of staying in touch with my friends, and you can tell maddie and lainey put their blood sweat and tears into this app. Although TAMS is online this year, I don't even notice that much because sesame keeps me so well connected. This is a great extension, and I highly reccomend downloading it. Also love the feature that keeps out annoying users! :)

Also, getting help for homework at 3am is so much easier since you can see who's awake. Since we can't meet up in person, having sesame has let me stay in contact with my friends, helping me feel less isolated :))
