  • (2021-07-21) O F: Works great. Would like to see more granular speed choices, or maybe a slider. Never had issues with the button appearing.
  • (2021-07-11) ramen and chill: THANKS BRO <3 Finally an extension that is EASY TO USE and DOES NOT CAUSE LAGGING ISSUES on bb collab !! Especially if you want to speed up your lecture videos at the last minute before a test LOL this is amazing.

Go to the puzzle icon on the top left (it's where all your extenstions are) > find this one and pin it > when you load up the recorded collab video press on the icon and it should appear

  • (2021-03-05) Kadooshah 4417: I'm wondering why i didn't discover this earlier, i used to suffer the last semester cause everyone was super slow and i was looking for a playback speed option on the blackboard but it does not exist, I'm so thankful for whoever develop this thing i truly luv it and would highly recommend it
  • (2021-03-02) Will Lazer: Must-have. Perfect. Thank you!
  • (2021-03-02) Remi Rms: Super useful. Works very well, although a dropdown option might be more intuitive to use.
  • (2021-03-02) Afton Jones: Didn't work for me. I tried pinning it, refreshing it, logging out and logging back in, everything I could think of. It still doesn't work. I wonder if it has something to do with a recent Chrome update? Anyway, wanted this to work, sad it didn't. :(
  • (2021-03-01) Maggie Mae: So easy to add and just copy-pasted BB link to another tab and voila! Thanks!
  • (2021-03-01) Narelle HIne: So easy to add - copy and pasted the link from another tab and voila! Thank you
  • (2021-02-19) April F: Thank you! Going to save me countless hours!
  • (2021-02-18) MinecraftGuy64: Very good, just need a dropdown menu for the speeds to make everything more convenient
  • (2021-02-15) Patrick McNally: DIdn't watch a single lecture until i downloaded this, can get through some incredibly dry material really fast and only get the good bits which has been a game changer. Once downloaded, I had to pin it to my dashboard and then all my lectures gave me the spped up option.
  • (2021-02-05) Dave Sanchez: I love this extension when it works, but most of the time the option to speed up the video does not show up.
  • (2021-02-04) Edgar Morales Vides: FINALLY. My prof talks so slowly and I just don't have all day to go over lectures. This extension is a must for BB Collaborate lectures. I don't know why they wouldn't have this in the player already. Now I can watch my lectures at 2x speed and not fall asleep 3 minutes into the lecture.
  • (2021-01-23) Oliver Blankenship: Works flawlessly for me. As others have mentioned, there is no reason for BB not to include this feature by default. Thank you for saving me inordinate amounts of time!
  • (2020-12-03) Raymond Xu: This consistently works for me on us.bbcollab.com. My only gripe is that it would be more convenient if the playback speed had a dropdown option, if possible. As of right now, if the speed is on 2x and you want to set it to 1.75x, you have to keep clicking it until it goes from 2x to 0.25x to 0.5x and up to 1.75x, rather than just opening a dropdown and choosing whichever speed is most suitable.
  • (2020-12-02) nate andersen: Takes a little bit of work to make the button appear, but this is an absolute lifesaver. It's almost impossible to watch recorded lectures without this, this should have been a core functionality in blackboard
  • (2020-11-26) Xiaoni Z: greatttttt!!!! I love online courses!
  • (2020-11-24) Vanila Latte: Sometimes it doesn't work. When is does work, it is truly amazing!! Thank you so much!!!
  • (2020-11-17) Marlon: For me, the speed options were a part of the playback bar. It was between the volume and the skip forward buttons. Looks good, works well, definitely recommend
  • (2020-11-17) Taylor Whitt: So far, this works for me. I pinned it on chrome (by pressing the puzzle piece next to your URL bar), closed out of my lectures and reopened them, and a speed option appeared on the bottom right of my lecture between the fast forward button and the volume button. The extension logo glows purple when you are on bb or watching a lecture on bb collaborate. Thank you!
  • (2020-11-16) nikita malik: This is a lifesaver, works perfectly!
  • (2020-11-08) Kwok Chun: It works! Thanks a lot!
  • (2020-11-05) Michael Aderinkola: I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK!!! After you download it, on the right side of your screen make sure you have it pin to your chrome interface. Navigate to right side of screen and click the Chrome Extension (looks like a block to puzzle) > Click BlackBoard Playback Speed pin (should be grey) > After you click the pin it should turn blue > An Icon for Blackboard Playback Speed pin should appear on top right side of your screen > Refresh Screen > Open blackboard recording page > Play video Icon should light up in purple!
  • (2020-11-03) m. dergunov: Bastante útil
  • (2020-11-03) Venessa Powell: This is AWESOME!!!!! Thank you. It did not work at first but I reloaded the page and it worked perfectly.
  • (2020-10-31) Emiel Veldman: Updated, now it works for me too!
  • (2020-10-27) Álvaro Jiménez Martín: It looks like only works for https://us.bbcollaborate.com/* but I'm using httpss://eu.bbcollaborate.com/* Please update the extension to support any bbcollaborate region
  • (2020-10-24) FTH ogur: When are you planning to add eu.bbcollab.com? It would be really helpful
  • (2020-10-20) Owen: Took me a while to figure out that removing "lti" from the link of the recording I was given (us-lti.bbcollab.com) to get it working for me. Thank you for the extension.
  • (2020-10-19) Nazanin Ijad: It's not working for me, maybe because I'm accessing from Canada?
  • (2020-10-16) Spoofz: It works exactly how it supposed to! But sometimes when you watch recorded lectures it may not show up the first few times. I'd recommend closing out the lecture tab then opening it again if that issue occurs. Other than that it works
  • (2020-10-12) Princess Pat: Please add the EU version :/ this is a great app idea but needs to be available across the globe
  • (2020-10-11) Allen Chang: It's cancerous that blackboard recordings don't have a feature implemented by any video streaming platform that isn't from 2002. Even zoom has it. I don't really know how to code extensions, but it's probably like 100 lines of code that has a simple UI that says "make.video.faster(input)" when user presses the 2x button. I love the extension, it implements something that all video platforms should have, and it's so simple that it can be just an extension. Seriously, blackboard is trash for not having this already
  • (2020-10-08) Andrew Pearson: Great idea, but does not work in Canada. Please add ca.bbcollab.com
