Create aliases for URLs

Description from store
Type alias in address bar and hit Enter, then you will be redirected to the corresponding URL.
Use popup to quickly create rules (alias -> URL).
Open the "Options" page to add, delete, and view all existing rules.
Example:
1. type 'c/' to go to Google Calendar
2. type 'y/' to go to Youtube
3. type 'xxx/yyy' to go to certain page
You can customize all these rules.
Recommendation:
1. Use one-character aliases for the most frequent pages. Like c/ for Google Calendar
2. Use aliases start with go/ for less frequent pages. Like go/doc-xxx for Google docs

- (2024-07-15) Stephen Bathgate: This is already available in Chrome by going to Settings > Search engine > Manage search engines and site search > Site search > Add site details & shortcut, then just type the shortcut into the address bar and it works without the extension.
- (2024-01-16) Ulrich Bretschneider: It does not seem to be what I was looking for. The only way I am able to make this work is as an alternative to Bookmarks. Typing the alias I created into the address bar will take me to URL it was created for. But it does not let me save the URL to the Drive as a clickable shortcut.
