Allows ChromeOS devices to connect to Impero’s cloud-based classroom management solution supporting all major operating systems. Enable teachers to deliver digital learning anywhere, on any device.
Supported features:
Real-time monitoring - see device activity in real time
Send message - send a direct one way message to the device
Launch website - open a web site on the device automatically
Lock screen - lock the screen of the app
Disable internet - disable internet access inside the app
Restrict browsing - enforce allow and block website lists
Tab management - view open browser tabs lists and close open tabs
Broadcast Screen - Broadcast teacher and student screens to the class
Key monitoring - Monitors typed words and sends captures to Backdrop if keywords are found
Viewed words - Monitors viewed words in the Impero browser and sends captures to Backdrop if keywords are found

- This extension is quite an extension I must say. I do not really enjoy having this on our Chromebooks. Please let me watch YouTube at home. I understand at school, but I must say restricting sites at home is quite unreasonable indeed. But, of course it is expected from the school system. Overall, this extension high key sucks a lot. It is jaw dropping that schools actually use this, I am quite flabbergasted. One day, we will be free. This extension is also incredibly invasive and frustrating, it pretty much gives school staff FULL control over my device. It doesn't even seem like an extension, more like spyware. Not only this, but it slows my computer down so much to the point of turning it into a literal potato. Again, the most annoying part is how this thing is still active after school hours, it just really pisses me off. It is quite hard to focus when someone could be watching your every move at anytime. It is truly just a perfect gift for someone who would want to turn their school laptop into a government surveillance tool. This extension is a jack of all trades, it does it all. Literally everything you can imagine. Constant crashes, laggy performances, and not knowing if someone is watching our or not. This is the perfect tool if you want to take all trust away. And it doesn't even go away after the school day, how convenient! So, if you want a slow device, 24/7 surveillance, and no control over the Chromebook you are using, this is the perfect extension for you, but for everyone else who is a real person, its just a waste of storage and CPU usage. - This app is basic hacking since it could view you screen without asking for permation, and it could controll your app which is also hacking, locking screen is hacking, most of the feture in this app is basicly hacking. everyone report this app. You can turn off intenet to disable the teacher from seeing you if you are on chromebook. and if your on windows type this code to the power shell while ($true) { TASKKILL /F /IM BackdropClient.exe /T }

- This app is horrible. It allows the teacher/administrator to see what the students are doing and their history. Even closing tabs or windows is possible! You won't even realize your screen can be seen from another computer until you notice a blocked or closed tab.

- As a sigma male myself, I have many issues with this, 'Impero Backdrop' application. See, I can just use Seesaw or another WBE (Web-Embedded Browser) to unblock stuff, but secretly giving admins access to view your content is a gross privacy violation. Our school system has resorted to spyware to control their students, such a beta move. Impero Backdrop is so mid, it interferes with my daily sigma grindset. I cannot even watch 'Skibidi Toilet' or play 'Blox Fruits' on now.gg without my teacher throwing a ruler at me, SMH. AUSD has fallen, billions must pay attention in class.

- For this "System Administrator" first of all. we didn't agree to such terms. never once have they said "given the laptops you're privacy will be exposed. " and if you even do you're JOB. you would need to be" Safeguarding ". you could easily go across the classroom and really be doing you're "Safeguarding" Then after that. get them on the right tab. if their resisting ,simple. call parents. then really "assert control." exposing one's privacy isn't safeguarding its just Not doing you're job. its really pathetic that teachers are just sitting in their chairs thinking they got the upper hand. all you're doing is just being lazy. have fun being the laugh of the stock! :)

- As a "Systems Administrator" in a school, stuff like this is useful for us as we can tick the relevant boxes to say we monitor for Safeguarding as well as Asset control. For those moaning about "Privacy", if you're using a school-provided device and/or Google account, there is no expectation of privacy and you shouldn't think that you have any right to it. It's usually in the Acceptable Use Policy you agreed to when you first used any school-provisioned devices or accounts. If you don't agree to being monitored or controlled when you're at home, buy your own devices & use your own Google accounts as you'll never win the privacy argument when using anything provided by your school!

- bring back neptop vision :D I'm gonna be serious, this thing really isn't super unreasonable. I understand that teachers will use it to have an advantage over student computers. ALTHOUGH, for the students, this thing is absolutely horrible. It is a complete invasion of privacy, and while I do understand why teachers use it, I understand students as well. This is also sort of an abuse of power. For example, my friend was watching YouTube videos after school, at his house. His teacher closed the tab and told him to do the homework. When he was at home, not at school. This clearly isn't fair, considering my friend clearly had the rest of his night to do the homework. Although, I am only rating one star because of the people who use this extension, Not the extension itself. This extension having such a bad rating is just proof that it works, Lol.

- I hate this app. It's a total invasion of my privacy. I HATE this app so much, it blocks my yt randomly all the time, but my teachers say they didn't do it. It's SO RIGGED bro. I can't even focus in class with the teachers spying on me all the time. It's so annoying. And, the students who give it 5 star reviews are complete goody-two-shoes and suck ups. - I was at home eating M&M and a M&M tried to attack me but lucky this app was spying on me through my webcam and it called the cops and saved me so i have to give it 1 extra star. I was going to give it 0 stars but just because it saved me, i will give it 1 star, you're so welcome devs. I also had an issue with my laptop exploding a lot while using this app so if you guys don't mind, please fix this annoying bug, thank you!

- I wouldnt recommend Impero. I get it's idea to be a shooter game with customizable stats, but it's unbalanced, due to bias in Ranks. It's Ranked mode is full of smurfs that got weapons transferred from OP accounts, and now it's hard for new people to start up with all of the smurfs. Do not buy, impossible to grind or have fun as a newcomer. They should definately disable resource/component trading, as it makes smurfing much easier. In addition, I would like to mention that private games can have chances for chest and resource drops, so maps with afk grinders are very common, removing all grinding mechanics. Finally, I would like to bring up the crafting mechanics, as crafting takes extremely long for no reason. Almost all craftable items need other item to be crafted, and the stronger the item, the longer it takes. It feels like padding. Overall, a terrible game.
