Publisher Champ is the best I've used. My favorite aspect of Publisher Champ is its ability to automatically import AMS ad spend. Adding external spend (Bookbub, Facebook, etc) is very easy. Publisher Champ produces data and charts which allow me to visualize how my ad spend is affecting my revenue and if my efforts are profitable. The changes I've made to my AMS spending during my first month using Publisher Champ have more than paid for the annual cost, which is quite reasonable compared to other apps (and those apps don't include advertising data). Well done! Publisher Champ is a tremendous app that will help any serious author.

And the customer support is amazing - a couple of times I have used the chat line and Eirie answered immediately (making me wonder if he is flesh and blood. But who cares these days, as long as things work). I do have one issue that I have not yet been able to work around. Publish paperback versions of my books through KDP BUT I have a distributor who handles my ebook versions and is just moving into paperbacks as well (excluding Amazon, by agreement). The problem is that Publisher Champ does not access sales through that distributor. I wonder if a solution can be found...

I know how cumbersome all the spreadsheets get, especially if you're running a lot of ads, and Publisher Champ is truly that one place consolidation we all need. Even if you have a great spreadsheet or pivot table, most of us still experience that daunting task of downloading and inputing the data. I was waiting for something like PC to come to market! Eiri, the founder, is super focused on adding features that make our lives as authors easier so we can spend less time on ads and more time on writing. I especially love the integration of Amazon Attribution and FB ads, the historical BSRs in combination with ad spend and sales, Amazon Followers and lots and lots of other stuff. And it looks so cool! Customer service above and beyond. I just wish I'd gotten it sooner!

• (2025-02-28) Nick Griffiths: Found a recommendation for Publisher Champ and have never looked back. Very easy to use and understand - ie nothing like Google Analytics - and syncs with all the platforms I use to sell my books and audiobooks (Amazon, Ingram, ACX, Findaway), as well as ad spend (Amazon, FB). Earnings, sales, per day, per month, per last ten minutes... it's all there at a glance, with loads of drill-down options if you wish. I check my phone app version way too often. Support is frankly amazing - like instantaneous, with the developer - and he's constantly updating. Highly recommend.

It doesn't report on everything, yet, so not quite ideal for wide authors, but what it does report, it does fantastically well, which makes it perfect for authors stuck in the river.

The data Amazon provide you with have always left me wondering if I was actually in profit with a book or throwing money away - it was just too hard to get an accurate overview of ad spend and royalties over books and markets. Here you have the figures in super easy to read displays so that you can take the right business decisions. Plus, the platform has a fantastic user support system where I've had someone help me immediately with any queries. It's been literally game-changing for me to get Publisher Champ.

• (2024-06-05) Michael Wisehart: I was put on to this online software by a marketing firm who wanted to make sure all their clients were able to keep complete record of their spend and earnings. And even though I am not a client of theirs, it was worth the conversation just to find out about this gold mine product. The amount of information and breakdown of all your income and spending streams is mind boggling, and yet at the same time very user friendly and understandable. It is clear that the founder (Eiri) new what authors needed and how to design something extremely eye-catching. I’ve seen and used other similar types of software, and none have come close to matching the versatility of this tool. Most require you to download daily .csv files to fill in the information with, but Eiri has created something seamless that allows for automatic pulls of all your information from Amazon sales revenue to Ads data from Amazon and Facebook. They are also in the process of testing ACX pulls as well to bring in our audio sales data. Eiri has quite a full year of additions coming that will make this a go-to for all indies. It looks like he will be giving authors the ability to pull from all the major retailers, not including setting it up so those of us who sell direct from our websites will be able to garner that data as well. I’m very excited about where this is going and look forward to seeing how far he can take it.

I admit that I have spent a bit of time for the initial setup with the different cookies but the result is totally worth. I especially like to have the possibility to immediately monitor the net profit over the day/month. Once you start using it, all the features may look overwhelming but luckily there is the possibility of selecting the ones you want. Different publishers, different needs I guess. And also great support, friendly and available. They are continuously improving based on our feedbacks, bravo!

Extremely simple, took about 6 minutes to get my accounts synced, up, and running if I remember right. They are working on going wide for 2024 as well! For me, the top-level view of ad spend vs. royalties alone makes it worthwhile for the sheer ease and convenience (now I can avoid FB Ads Manager that much more...). The price is extremely reasonable for the time it saves me and I happily subscribed for the annual plan. Basically this is the data analysis tool OF MY DREAMS and it only keeps getting better!! They have less in-depth views and you can ignore all the nitty-gritty numbers if that's not your thing, but if you also love numbers... KDPChamp has you covered with so many beautiful charts and graphs and options to customize and dig into data. Color customization, dark mode, year-over-year comparisons, series sell-through info, and way, way more. I love it so much I am abandoning my beloved spreadsheets. No longer do I need to calculate how many full book reads XYZ page reads equals for a given book, because this will do it for me, for any book I choose, for any date range I care to look at. I can get a simple, at-a-glance view of ad spend vs. royalties, not to mention so many other graphs (some of which I did not know I needed, so thank you for that) and the ability to add events on the calendar and then overlay them on the charts is fantastic for immediate, visual display of the impact on running a promo. The customer support is wicked good too, the founder is super responsive to user questions and actively works user requests and feedback into the application. It is easy to use, beautiful, and functional whether you only ever look at the Net Profits chart and nothing else, or dig in to customize a book stats graph to display exactly what you want like the data for 4 specific books out of 20 published, in audio only, using the 14 of 20 columns you care about, for a 55-day date range, only in the UK marketplace. You can re-order the columns, too 😊
