Instagram dark extension is an extension which aims to change the theme of the Instagram.com website, and make it a dark theme like the iOS app when the system is in dark mode.

Also there was this one guy called "NOOBSTER' in the reviews tab of this chrome webstore extension and he says that his password got stolen but they didn't actually steal it. The extension automatically follows their company's Instagram account to support them. So you are completely safe.
