Watch your favorite Twitch streamers in vertical mode with video up top and chat below. Perfect for portrait monitor users. No need to change website. This loads within the same page.
Works on VODs too!
Updates:
- v1.11 fixes extension for new Twitch layout
- v1.10 comes with extension settings to configure the initial viewing mode on opening Twitch.
Choose from: horizontal (i.e. regular Twitch mode), vertical, vertical theatre mode, use the last viewing mode
- v1.9 Another bug fix where chat is missing when window width is too small.
- v1.8 Bug fixes. Also, vertical mode will stay on when switching channels.
- v1.7 Vertical Theatre mode now added! Button will now toggle between three modes (regular, vertical, vertical theatre)
- v1.6 fixes missing button.

- It was the best Vertical extension while it lasted....not sure what happened but recently twitch just resizes the vertical mode on it's own whenever I apply it on a stream, bugs out to the point I have to refresh the page each time, icons disappear. Please fix! Web browser (Brave)

- Seem to be broken after recent chrome update. Use it a lot, but now twitch resizes and uses different mode shortly after you try to use this. Please fix this amazing addon

- It's awesome this extension gives portrait monitor users a better viewing experience with Twitch but can the dev make it so that it does this automatically when just clicking into a stream as a feature? 4/20/2024: Doesn't work... 5/19/2024: Update currently only works through Chrome, it's still broken with Edge browser.

- Currently broken. Even when it wasn't totally broken it was still very janky and easy to break.

- To go around the recent problem, try to click on "Theatre Mode" instead of the vertical twitch icon, with Vertical Twitch still installed. For me it mostly looks like the previous experience (but for some reason it doesn't work without the extension).

- I'd rate it higher, but there's a fairly annoying and odd quirk where it reverts back to normal right side chat whenever another chatter mentions you in their comments, as someone who's very active in twitch chat it causes me to have to reset the vertical player quite often. Other than that the app is pretty easy to use and I hope this major bug gets fixed soon.
