A tool for getting an idea of the number of words and characters on a web page. This word and character counter works both online and offline.
How do you use it?
- Activate the extension
- Highlight the text fragment
- Click the extension button and Character counter will count how many words and characters

- (2022-06-21) Darren: Counts the correct number of characters highlighted, even after modifying the DOM with the inspector. It's what I needed to check character lengths.
- (2021-10-25) Pat MySecret: You click the icon after your selection and it pops up a big bold statement of characters, words, sentences, paragraphs, and whitespace. Better than most of the type, especially over the context menu type. I prefer live-count types vs click-and-see.
