• (2023-08-29) Wojciech Kwiatkowski: Thighs to fix: You cannot effectively turn off randomness of highlighting colors. If you want to have one color for one list you just cannot set this. There is no documentation how to properly import word lists. Sometimes when you click enter you extend current word text input instead of adding new word. Transfering word lists between computers do not work for browser profile.

I am not sure if there is a trick to it, but so far it won't syncronize settings between browsers which is a bummer.
• (2023-06-23) Hamza Bayram: I have been using this extension for a couple of days. Oh my, it has helped me be more efficient and faster in finding what I need. It could be great, if I could limit the extension to be active for a "on" for a single website or tab. Otherwise it keeps trying to highligt every tab that I work on, and makes it hassle to toggle on/off each time. It kinda messes the whole purpose of being more efficient. Can you help developer?

• (2023-06-03) Lee Marshall: Did what I wanted it to do which was to highlight specific pre-determined words on a webpage but it does not work well. It keeps messing webpages up and adding the keyword to the webpages even when the word actually does not exist on the page. The webpage ends up looking a right mess. It basically damages the page structure so it's 2-stars from me. If they fix this then I'd say it was 5-star but it's not usable in it's current state. I tried to uninstall and re-install but it made no difference. I was using google chrome (fully up to date) on a Mac.

  Another bug report : it seems the excluded list isn't respected, at least for XHR request. Going from a mail to another in Gmail mobile (on desktop, yes), is very slow, because I have a ~big list (200+) of highlights. So I excluded "https://mail.google.com/mail/mu/mp/498/*" (the mobile site), but HM was still executing. Then I excluded "https://mail.google.com/*" thinking the XHR were on another domain, but same thing, HM ran. I think there is two options here : first, if a site is excluded, every XHR even to others domain are excluded too. Or, second, each domain are to be inputed in the excluded list, but in that case, it should be noted in the info bubble. I'm waiting patiently for your next version, and again, thanks for your work :)

  I'm having very brutal performance issues on a high end computer when using the extension on the following page: https://store.steampowered.com/oldnews/?feed=steam_community_announcements&headlines=1 (especially upon scrolling down to autoload more entries). I tried with shorter lists too, still issues. Regex is off and whole word matching is on. The list has 300+ entries. Chrome is becoming unresponsive after a while, but i'm never exceeding more than 15% CPU usage on my system. The tab is using about 80-90% of Chrome's CPU load. Memory footprint seems low and reasonable. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

  First of all, great work ! But I noticed a couple things that are issues, or could be better : - The export function doesn't seem to work (I got a file sized 0 B). Kubuntu 20.04, Chr 108.0.5359.40, HM 1.1.2 - New words, when added to a list, use a random color. Having a default color per list would be welcome - ~Long (200+ entries) list are slow to load visually. Maybe loading them and only then displaying them would be better ? - Copy pasting a list of words to a new list would be nice to have - And finally, a dark theme for the extension would be nice to have too Of course, I'm not putting any pressure on you to fix/do those, I appreciate the work you have already done. I'm just pointing out things I noticed, just in case :)

  Selecting, and deselecting each highlight term withing the List doesn't seem to do anything. I thought it would activate/deactivate highlighting for that specific term, but it doesn't. That would be a great feature btw.

  The on/off toggle for the highlighting doesn't seem to function in real-time. I have to toggle the highlights off, and then close, and relaunch Chrome to get rid of the highlights. Similarly for turning the highlighting on: I have to toggle the highlights on, and then close, and relaunch Chrome to get the highlights to activate. Is that the way the extension is designed? Or is that a bug?

  Hi, after I updated my Chrom browser I can't add new words. Before the update, I had no such problem. In the created list, I was able to add the whole list of words to highlight. Now the plug-in simply does not work.

  Hi, I just started using the updated version. Definitely an improvement in every way. One suggestion I have to is to offer whole-word search as a per-term option, similar to how case-sensitive search is handled right now. Could be a similar button toggle. The reason is that there are many instances where whole-word and partial-word highlighting can be desirable at the same time (when searching acronyms/short terms alongside partial word terms), especially now that we can have multiple lists active at once

  Hi, some pages have elements that collapse and expand. Right now, the extension seems to highlight what is visible on the page, but not text hidden beneath collapse mechanisms. manually toggling the highlighting (next to the donate button on the highlight-magic menu) successfully highlights the new text. My recommendation is to have a trigger behavior to do this automatically if the text changes on page for any reason

I understand this may have performance implications, so perhaps have a global toggle for it. below is an example of a webpage with an iframe: https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_iframe.asp many websites use iframes, e.g. job posting sites where content and text resumes are often displayed within them.
