This extension hides the "Add People" in Google Meets and is meant for schools that are using Google Meet. It prevents students from inviting people/strangers into the meeting.
Only teachers are allowed to invite individuals into the Google Meet call. This is to prevent random hackers/strangers from attending the lessons inside Google Meet.
