Our extension does not send any information about your surfing to any external site in contrast to others. We use your own surf history to determine if the site you visited have been visited before by you. Other public phishing alarm systems rely on other reporting sites, but most successful phishing attacks takes place the first hours when those alarms are not in place, while our is doing it's most valuable work during that time and from your very fist klick to a cloned site.
The Kutchy extension is only using your own surf history in the Chrome browser to determine if you have visited this site before. If it is one of the first three times you visit a site, the icon turns red, if less then 7 times, then yellow, otherwise our icon turns green.
The default configurable options search for the word "bank" on the site you visit and if the word is found 3 or more times, then it also pop up a warning the first two time you visit this domain. You may change this to suit your own language and the minimum amount of times the word exist on any site where you would like have an extra warning if someone if trying to fool you with phishing.
