  • (2022-08-11) Carlos Aguilera: MasterCook is a great tool for running multiple outlets, I am a Corporate Executive Chef and i use this program religiously. Its great to write recipes and share with other chefs and other Mastercook users, they have pre-selected recipes in there program that are great for research. Any kind of recipes and dishes that you want to create their recipe library is great. Highly recommend this program for any chef or at home user that wants to create recipes or keep your current recipes organized this is the app for you. As a chef i always have ideas for recipes and dishes this is a great tool to organize myself and let my creativity become a reality. Thank MasterCook for all your help and assistance.
  • (2022-05-04) Dan Kraan: The MasterCook for desktop computers is a great recipe archiving and retrieval program. That fact hasn’t changed since it was first developed over 30 years ago. Yes… I have been a user of MasterCook for over 30 years! In addition to the robust program, developments over the past few years now provide a second app called MasterCook Manager. It can operate in conjunction with the desktop version of MasterCook, i.e., backups, or on its own, as a separate online app. It’s great for on-the-go access if you decide not to purchase the desktop program and provides recipe back-up for the desktop version if you have both. I have had versions of MasterCook since V2.0, up to MC2022. From my personal experience, I can attest that it has always been great program, providing a robust recipe archiving, back-up, and retrieval. Now, thanks to MasterCook Manager, it’s even portable. As with any system, there is bound to be a glitch here and there. However, reaching out to the technical support people has never been an issue and the problem is usually resolved quite quickly. Leaving negative reviews without contacting the company resolves nothing. Any time you have a problem, let tech support know that it exists! We need to report those aspects to tech support, so they can fix it. Any time I have had an issue, and it’s not often, it was dealt with promptly and to my satisfaction. They have been friendly and helpful every time.
  • (2022-04-19) LES COOPER: We have been using Maser Cook for many years and have not encountered any issues with the program. With the recent upgrade to Version 22, we had a couple of hick-ups and we contacted support. Within a hour of submitting our ticket, we had a answer, that led to more questions. The support has been tremendous and very prompt with the answers. Everything is working as it should be. We could not be happier with the program and customer service. Thank you Master Cook!
  • (2021-03-04) Michaelanne Widness: The MasterCook extension is a major improvement to the program. Importing recipes from websites is much easier to do, and I've had very few corrections to make.
  • (2021-02-05) Richard Bergfeld: I have been using MasterCook for 8 years starting with Version 11 and love it. Anyone who complains about problems with MasterCook has not contacted MasterCook Support. MasterCook support is the best and most responsive software app support of any I have ever used. They respond quickly and with links to excellent detailed descriptions of how to solve any problem. By using MasterCook support to the fullest you will get maximum benefit from this wonderful app.
  • (2020-12-27) Karen Farrell: I really like the improvements. The only step I think is unnecessary, the yes or no question. So far it has worked flawlessly.
  • (2020-12-27) Kevin Bowman: I have used MasterCook for years and I love the MC extension. Fast and easy. You can add exactly what you want into the recipe. If you are having an issue with the extension I suggest you try there customer support - it is terrific. Kevin
  • (2020-12-27) Interfaith Committee: I have used MasterCook for many years. Before updates, previous Chrome Importer Extension functioned better. Lately I have been using Firefox. New Chrome Importer will not let you scroll on recipe site to add/change info in Importer before adding it. It does not automatically open/show newly added recipe in online recipes. It also does not use my categories.
  • (2020-12-27) Carolyn McLain: MasterCook just released an updated Web-Importer and it works great. The previous version was a little difficult to use and I had to do a lot of manual edits to get the recipe correct. Now I can use the Import Recipe feature and it is 95% right. The changes that I do have to make are minor, and only because I am picky about how I want the recipes to download into my MasterCook. Now if they can fix the APP Import feature this would be 5 stars. Have not been using it because it pulls in too much non-recipe ads. etc from the page that the recipe is on.
  • (2020-12-25) Harry Rabbit: I just bought MasterCook. I see why it comes with no trial or guarantee. This adin is a joke. Paprika has one on the bookmark that works flawlessly. With this I get strange stuff like "6 butterscotch caramel lollipops" for a Flank Steak recipe. How is that even possible? I paid $175 for something I can't even throw in the trash.
  • (2020-11-22) Anne Faul: It's slow in the first place and then it takes longer to correct import errors than it does to use the old Import Assistant method.
  • (2020-11-02) susie eyster: The new extension works great! Every time I have used it, everything is imported in the proper place. I keep the website with the recipe open as sometimes the correct photo does not import. If that happens, I just select EDIT and insert the correct photo. Love it! It is actually easier than what we had before with "Add to Mastercook" on the favorites bar. I've had Mastercook for about 10 years I think. Great job!
  • (2020-10-28) Kathie Hansen: The add to Mastercook button is nowhere to be found. Where do I go to download and install the add-0n?
  • (2020-10-28) Mary Loveless: I can get this to work on Chrome (albeit it took a bit of searching to find how to use it) but I don't see how this works with Microsoft Edge. There were no instructions for that browser and it is not listed as an add on for Microsoft. The email I received said to "Add to Chrome" button and that it supposedly works from Edge too. I can't figure out how to do that.
  • (2020-10-28) Aaron Nichols: Useless. Every website I try this on, the extension just says that it can't add the recipe and I need to add it manually. Then I have to cut and paste ingredients, directions, etc. If it's just going to do that every time then I might as well just leave the program open and cut and paste directly into it. Again, useless.
  • (2020-10-25) Jan Taylor: I can't get it to work either.
  • (2020-10-25) John and Marianne Webster: Doesn't work right. All I get is overlaid garbage on the my Mastercook web page. It took this long to come up with something this bad?

  • (2020-11-03, v:1.0.3) Bobbi Anderson: Password
I have had trouble logging into Mastercook add on since I first got the 2020 version. I have changed my password and still cannot log in and now it doesn't even give me a 'change password' option. I also installed the 'new and improved' Mastercook add on to Chrome, which comes up, but I CANNOT LOG IN TO IT. Very frustrated and sorry I ever updated. I was very happy with my older version. :(
  • (2020-10-29, v:1.0.2) Robert Colling: Web Import Login Not working
I have updated to the latest version and it does not fix the problem I had before. WHen I click on Add To Mastercook the import page comes up and asks me to log in. When I enter the data and click login I get an Error Message. Error: The required anti-forgery cookie "__RequestVerificationToken_L2FwcA2" is not present.
