Description from store Update March 13, 2024: Due to Google Chrome's impending switch from manifest v2 to manifest v3, I had to update the code. Please send me an email at [email protected] if you are encountering issues with the manifest v3 version. The Google Chrome manifest v3 rollout is staggered so there may be issues that arise during their rollout across browser versions (I don't expect any but its possible). Also, the Firefox and Microsoft Edge versions are now complete and available for download and use with the same account. Firefox version is here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/sort-by-review-count-on-amazon/?utm_source=addons.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=search Edge version is here:https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/sort-by-review-count-for-/jehnmefoldmahnigfmldbefdggjbpdia Lastly, the Apple ecosystem is distinct unfortunately, so I haven't been able to rollout a version to the same account yet under their TOS (right now you would have to purchase separately). The Apple version (for Mac, iPhone, Safari, etc) is available here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sort-review-count-for-amazon/id6445829513 If there are any other browsers that you are unable to get the software on, please contact me and I will try my best to implement it there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sort By Review Count for Amazon allows you to sort product search results by most reviewed. It works best when you are in specific product department. After submitting a search on Amazon, a blue Sort By Review Count button appears in the right hand corner near the sort by drop down menu. Clicking that when in a product department (the column on the left of the search result images) will sort the results by review count. Due to our company’s ongoing costs in development and responding to user requests, our Sort By Review Count app requires a small payment to use upon installation. We prefer doing that rather than collecting and selling your browsing data like other Chrome extensions out there. Payment is provided through a Stripe payment popup, which is an industry standard payment method since Chrome stopping processing payments for all the browser extensions in 2020. Thank you for supporting developers! For those that have already paid, please use the login here option at the popup to enable the app. Once the Sort By Review Count extension is installed, a blue arrow icon will appear in the extensions list. We recommend you pin Sort By Review Count (SBRC) and click it ahead of an Amazon product search, as it is a helpful tool to find trusted and well-reviewed products. A few quick tips for use: (1) Click the blue "Sort By Review Count" button that appears when you enter your search. We recommend you click the icon each time your search results show up to sort. (2) We recommend users consider an adblock during web use. It makes all online web searches less clouded by ads and sponsored results. (3) We recommend clicking a single "Department" (found on the left side column when you are on an Amazon search results page) to get a more accurate sort. For example, if you are searching for blenders, make sure you are in the "Household Blenders" Department. The sort feature adds to the url in your current tab to sort the search results, and Chrome provides a browsing data notice for that (probably because it adds to the url in the current tab you have open) on extension install.

  • (2023-10-15) Ragnar Lothbrok: Added a paywall, bro just destroyed his own extension and reputation
  • (2023-10-07) JackIsaacQ: paywalled
  • (2023-09-19) J R: Went to use the app for the first time and was greeted with a window to subscribe for $5 HAHAHAHHAHAH.
  • (2023-09-08) Kaleb: it's a simple code. really not loving this trend of devs citing vague and obscure '''costs''' for some of the simplest QoL extensions I've ever seen. Sorry, not acceptable.
  • (2023-09-04) Therian Eightsix: Love the extension but it's now a yearly subscription, I'm guessing the creators sold out to a company but I wont be using it anymore.
  • (2023-08-30) Scott Corder: not worth $5/yr
  • (2023-08-29) Dave: The extension works fine for me as of August 28...I am ok with paying (don't understand the freeloaders expecting people to work for free).
  • (2023-08-27) J: Garbage extension wants to charge you $5/yr
  • (2023-07-22) Eric Johnston: This extension went from free to a $5/year subscription. If this were a complex extension that had a lot of development time involved, or if the extension relied on a service that cost the developer money, then I would be happy to pay for it. But this is not the case, and the extension doesn't even work that well! It only works if you click on a category to search by, and sometimes it doesn't even work!
  • (2023-07-17) Clay Garrett: FYI: You don't need the extension. Just add the following: &sort=review-count-rank To the end of the URL. That's it. No need to pay for such a simple utility. I can understand taking donations or even charging a one time fee of like... $1... But asking $5 PER YEAR is ridiculous. It's not doing anything complicated. This is just greedy.
  • (2023-07-08) Mike Manns: lol they started trying to charge for an extension that barely worked in the first place. Search for the extension "Amazon sort by Review Count" and use that instead.
  • (2023-07-07) Jeremy Daly: What a joke.
  • (2023-06-30) broken man: Used this app for a few years, it did it's thing and helped me to easily find the most "popular" item of whatever I was searching for. Only useful if the reviews are accurate and honest, which cannot be determined by an app (or any other way) so the value of the app is limited. Another reviewer said it well: "not essential and just makes life maybe .01% easier". I might pay $1 for this app because everyone should be paid for their work. But it isn't worth $5 per year, sorry. But the anger in the reviews...why are these people so ENTITLED to free apps? I bet they get paid for their work. Or maybe they are just FREELOADERS in life, waiting for the next free entitlement. I will bet that none of them write free apps for the world to use.
  • (2023-06-26) Jane Smith: Worth it for shopping.
  • (2023-06-25) Tim Costello: You have to pay £4.99 a year !!!.. no trial .....nothing... there are better extensions for free, search for "Trusty Search Assistant for Amazon" this tool does more and better
  • (2023-06-16) Raquel Miller: Going to have to remove this extension now that it wants to charge me.
  • (2023-06-13) Lorenzo Limatola: Not everything should be a subscription service, like a f***** filter for Amazon
  • (2023-06-09) Johan Sondberg: They charge you to use it. It's a Chrome extension dude, not EVERYTHING has to be monetized. Obviously not using it.
  • (2023-06-09) Josh Ertel: pay for something that is not essential and just makes life maybe .01% easier no.
  • (2023-06-08) Taylor Meek: Pay for it? No.
  • (2023-06-07) Rana Soylu: Dumb as hell. You literally have to pay 5 dollars a month for this button extension. Dont even bother
  • (2023-06-07) James Burke: You expect people to pay $5 for something that essentially just adds &sort=review-count-rank to the end of the address!? It's just a small script, what kind of ongoing costs could this incur? Good luck making any profit
  • (2023-06-02) Swapnil Jain: Not giving a single buck to y'all
  • (2023-06-01) Chris Wong: Was good when it was free. Unfortunately will be uninstalling now
  • (2023-06-01) Kelley Foster: No way I'm paying for this.
  • (2023-05-31) Andrew Carver: Flipping it to pay-to-use? What a waste.
  • (2023-05-26) SANDEEP BHATEJA: Fantastic app! Helps me find the 'tried and tested' products on Amazon with ease. Gives me peace of mind knowing that I have ordered reliable items for my family without having to manually search for hours through each individual listing. Installation of the app was very easy. Also will mention that this app worked on both Amazon.com and Amazon.in - I shop on the Indian Amazon site when visiting India. FYI, you do have to click the department link on the Amazon search side bar for the sort to work best. Thanks for creating this app. Totally worth the 5 bucks a year. I tried the other apps which were free and they did not work properly. Good things cost money, I guess. Hope this review was helpful to someone :)
  • (2023-05-25) Yashesh Shah: 5$ a year for an extension that barely works. gtfo
  • (2023-05-24) Lerry Sanders: Went from being free to $5 to use it. Screw that noise.
  • (2023-05-22) Jason Kuroda: Doesn't work and definitely not worth the cost.
  • (2023-05-22) David Baty: $5 per year? Are you kidding? One time is a bit of stretch for something that was free, but yearly is not happening.
  • (2023-05-22) Sander Chernitsky: I cannot stress enough how awful this Chrome extension is. Initially, it was riddled with bugs and glitches that made it practically unusable. However, to my surprise, the developers recently had the audacity to start demanding payment for its usage. It's an absolute rip-off! Save yourself the trouble and avoid installing this extension at all costs. There are far better alternatives available that won't drain your wallet and actually work as intended. Stay away from this money-hungry disaster of an extension!
  • (2023-05-21) Noumqn: t'was good until you started charging unreasonably
  • (2023-05-18) N. Joe: This one does the same thing, but its free https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail//olefkhnepnhckieapdkjebebogajcmel
  • (2023-05-15) cwjgs b: It ain't worth $5 a year. See ya dumb extension.
  • (2023-05-14) Vatche Kijiji: Folks, There is another extension that does the same ting but free https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail//olefkhnepnhckieapdkjebebogajcmel
  • (2023-05-14) Ryan D: Theis extensions authors decided to introduce a ridiculously priced subscription model citing ongoing costs... The extension hasn't had any real changes in a fairly long time. I have since uninstalled and switched to using https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sort-by-review-count-for/fgimjhgonodgijfcglpjidipajjjifgp which is better in so many ways, plus the important one! It's free!
  • (2023-05-13) Merlin Schulze: To demand money for this little extension is just ridiculous...
  • (2023-05-13) Nick Kos: Blackmails me to sign up and pay money. A very rough approach
  • (2023-05-10) Erlind Meminaj: Doesnt work. Don't buy it! SCAM!
  • (2023-05-09) K P: DO NOT BUY! Just google Amazon review count. You can easily get this for free. This is is worth 5 cents if its worth 5$ so don't get ripped off.
  • (2023-05-09) Marc Kuniansky: This was great until you decided to paywall it. It's a damn button, "ongoing costs" is ridiculous. The button is already made and was free for years. I'm dropping it after writing this review, terrible decision.
  • (2023-05-09) Patriot Signs: A subscription model... for a button? Are you all out of your minds? Removed. (Barely worked when it was FREE.)
  • (2023-05-08) Adewumi Adeniyi: stupid annual fees why cant we just buy it outright
  • (2023-05-08) Ben Onley: Worked for a while, then stopped, now they want $5 a year for this not working thing. No.
  • (2023-05-08) Alexander Mohr: The functions of this extension are iffy at best, with questionable results by a tedious button with no integration otherwise. This was totally fine until... Then they wanted 5$ per year LOL. Not that I'd be above paying for an awesome extension (a 5$ sub for a sort button tho...), but this thing is jank. At this rate I'll write my own, considering their code isn't crazy and all things considered pretty straightforward... If you want an extension that is the exact same thing, here you go no sub required: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sort-by-number-of-reviews/olefkhnepnhckieapdkjebebogajcmel
  • (2023-05-07) BigRainbow: Either doesn't work, and now you have to pay to use it. Garbage.
  • (2023-05-07) Joey Smith: Didn't consistently work correctly. When they started charging for it, I just removed it.
  • (2023-05-05) Joe Etten: Subscription Required I have been using this extension for some time now (more than a year). Today, I was treated to a popup asking me to pay for use of the extension. It will not work without a yearly subscription of $10. The extension has bugs, but I was happy to ignore these because it was free. For a free extension, it is worth 2 or 3 stars. Now that they want you to pay, it doesn't even rate 1 star. Good luck making your money guys... I wish you well.
