Description from store The slide out extension is back! Easily work out of your CRM or ATS. Find numbers on a page to either message or import into your TextUs contacts. TextUs will automatically open the contact details within your TextUs account when on a contact record in your CRM or ATS.

  • (2023-06-02) Angela Cronin: I never thought I'd miss Sense messaging, but here we are. This extension is SO buggy and never works as intended. While it was somewhat manageable before, now that they've "upgraded it" it simply doesn't work at all. It just slides out a blank, transparent window. Removing this because literally what is the point?
  • (2023-03-10) There are bugs but my biggest complaint is the sheer size of the textus tab for the extension.. It's literally twice the size of every other extension and blocks visibility..

  • (2022-06-09) K G: There are so many bugs that are never fixed. The slide-out doesn't always populate the number on the page. The pop-out won't open AT ALL until I remove extension from chrome then reinstall it. The new sent message in slide-out shows as "sending" indefinitely until the slide-out is closed and reopened. If you change the name in the profile, the number and new name do not automatically sync under that number. This is just SOME of the issues. I wish we would go to another app! Makes my job MUCH harder.

I just started using the extension, it makes it easy to use text us without needing to open the app on another screen. I am a recruiter and I need the app to contact candidates. I can send many messages at once. Text us has seriously made my life hassel free.

I know in the past it did print on all documents printed. TextUs is a great product as it has helped our company alot in order to get ahold of people.
  • (2022-02-04) #3 Recruiter: I just started using the extension, so far it makes it easy to use text us without needing to open another screen. I am a recruiting manager, constantly texting applicants, a lot of time I need to take information from my email or another page so this makes it easy to transfer information. The only issue is that the icon is a little big and gets in the way, but it is nice that you have the option to drag and drop it if it is in the way of what you are doing.
  • (2022-02-03) Katie Withrow: I've enjoyed using the TextUs chrome extension. I love the click right feature to be able to text someone right away. My only suggest is that the extension doesn't always accurately detect numbers, and therefore, the user has to input a contact every time. It'd be great if it could be transfigured where it does recognize the numbers and names more accurately to make the adding contacts quicker.

  • (2021-08-13) Amber Yates: We used the Textus extension before they updated the app, and loved it. However, the new extension doesn't work as well as the previous one did. The red notification doesn't always appear on the extension when a message is sent. We don't have an option to automatically pull phone numbers from a web page when using the slide out extension like we used to, and this was one of our favorite features with the previous slide out. The extension also lags, and runs very slow. Most of our team has decided not to use it, as it makes the app itself run slower.

It impacts many other vendors and platforms negatively, and it doesn't work as described to find numbers - the one, valuable update that we were excited about. Would've been nice if the previous extension was maintained and you had the choice of using this one. Being forced into it with the impact it has on other vendors/systems is unfortunate.

  • (2021-08-11) Liz Koenig: My company switched to TextUs within the last year. The original extension that was less obtrusive is much preferred. It got to the point over the last few weeks where I just deleted the extension all together. I had to add it back just now to add this review. I will be deleting the extension as soon as I finish this review. The rest of my team doesn't have the luxury to delete the extension because they do need to use it almost daily. It follows you to every single page daily, even when you "turn it off". When you go to print a page, it prints on your page. It's way too intrusive to your day to day computer experience. Please make it smaller/only have it be a bookmark or true extension.

I wish you could move the 'tab' to a different location on the screen as many times it's over another button and hate turning it off constantly to work in Bullhorn especially. Sometimes it is slow to load the extension. Many times both the pop out and extension are slow in loading new messages. Besides a sound, it would be beneficial to have the extension blink (or something similar) for new messages. The extension doesn't have the signature or dictation which I use frequently. Emojis would be great too, but not a must.

  • (2021-08-11) Maria Barnett: The slide out cannot be moved and covers up important information on my screen. Not all of my texts transfer over to the log in CTMS and it seems random as to which ones do and which ones don't. Sometimes it still can't find the phone numbers on the page.
  • (2021-08-11) Neil Thon: Not too happy with the delay in sending messages, the app ended up texting my clients at 1 am and they were not too happy about it, this was 12 hours after the text was sent.
  • (2021-08-11) Masis Sanford: It doesn't load new messages very fast at all. I'll be getting the desktop notification to open the website long before the chrome extension has noticed the new message. It's also difficult to navigate between my messages, or my office's messages and such.

  • (2021-01-11) Matt Roe: Echoing a lot of the feedback given by others here... This was a true failure of failures when it comes to updates. I've gone from using TextUs dozens of time a day to barely looking at it, if I can avoid it. This was incredibly disappointing because TextUs truly provided some revolutionary new capabilities that I had never truly been able to leverage with our systems, as they were, and now it's essentially a worthless platform. I hope there's some way that previous features can be returned and that this lessons runs deep in the team who made these changes.
  • (2021-01-07) Rachael Barnwell: My whole team and I absolutely hate this new version. We don't get notified that someone has texted us back, so there can be a lot of missed messages. The system also says it can integrate with our CRM system, but it does not work. The search bar to quickly search contacts is absolutely awful. We can rarely ever find anyone in the search Bring back the original version!! The one positive that I like about the new version is that we can set our business hours, so it will send away messages outside of our business hours automatically. The original version would send away messages as well, but if someone still had the site or app open it wouldn't send the away message.

I just have to constantly remember to go in and refresh the app all through out the day to get the new messages. On my phone I have to close the app each time for a new message to come through. This is a HUGE down grade form your original version. Awful
  • (2020-12-15) Seth Ballstaedt: I spent a lot of time programming textus to work in my salesforce org through process builder. With this update, which we were forced into, none of it works. none of it. When following their instructions to get it working again, their instructions froze our entire system so we couldn't do any work. Do not like the update not sure why they felt the need to force everyone into a new version.

    Do I have to add a new contact in for all new messages now - so I have to first parse a new resume and then manually add it as a contact?     Our company just upgraded to new version and pretty frustrated feedback I wanted to send along: • Previous plugin made it easy to quickly glance at info in salesforce and add it to a text, it is now more time consuming being in a separate window. • It does not automatically find phone numbers on the page, it has to be directed to do so, the process is clunky and wastes time. • Getting messages stating “no number found” when there is in fact a number listed in salesforce • Lost old messages and templates. • Issues logging in to mobile app and mobile app not updating • Campaigns taking longer to send than they did previously. • Notifications showing that new messages exist but there are none. • Provider responses are showing up in the inbox panel on the left but not updating in the conversation that is opened. • Very slow
