Description from store
YouCap is a community-driven captioning service made to bridge the gap between content creators and users impacted by disabilities or language barriers.
With the removal of YouTube's community captions on September 28th, 2020, many viewers were left with limited access to content on the platform. The feature had offered a means for creators to provide their content to a wider audience without captioning it themselves or paying a third-party service. With its removal came a sudden need for a replacement. That's where YouCap comes in.
This extension interfaces with captions that are created through the YouCap website (http://www.youcap.video) and overlays them on top of YouTube videos, when they're available.
Currently, the platform supports English, French, and Spanish captions, with plans to expand on this list in the future.
