• (2021-09-27) Mario Palla: the most awkward extension to date. You click on the icon to capture sound from the beginning but this ext. freezes the tab and there is no way to click on play and capture. How dumb is that? Removed from browser almost instantly thereafter. One last advice to the "developer" although we all appreciate the ext. is free we do not appreciate being made fools, might I suggest a change of career? maybe pizza delivery could be more in tune with the developer "logic"

It was this one summer morning that I recorded a short 15-second audio file for a motivational quote I could listen to, so I saved it to my computer, and it successfully downloaded. However, when I played the file, the audio was too quick, and it was 2x faster than the original quote, making it hard to understand. I've removed and reinstalled this chrome extension, however it only got worse. Sometimes it even crackles! However, to be honest it was very good at first. It also may be a computer bug. Any advice on how to stop this problem?

• (2021-08-22) Yasuda M: 一通りの機能を使用してみて，他のレビュワーが言っていることや，評価が大きく分かれる原因が分かりました．結論から言うと，このアプリはWAB形式に限っては完璧な仕事をしてくれます．MP3形式では全く使い物になりません． 　最初はWAB形式でこのアプリを使用していましたが，クオリティは100点満点でした．2~7分程度の音声を連続して10回程度記録しましたが，ASMRの音源に遜色ない音質でした．私のノートパソコンはサウンドミキサーを搭載していませんが，このアプリは全く問題なく動作し，完璧な仕事を果たしてくれました． 　問題は，MP3です．1時間程度のライブ実況を記録するために，20分ずつ音声を記録しようとしましたが，7分程度で勝手に音声をエンコードし始めました．続けて録音を再開しましたが，20分に近づいてSaveを押そうとしましたが，ボタンが一切反応しません．Chromeを閉じてもタイマーだけが動き続け，終了も再開もできません．何とか40分程度の音声を記録することができましたが，すべてのファイルで声がスロー再生のようになっており，めちゃくちゃでした． 　このアプリはMP3関係のコードに致命的なエラーがあるようです．ただし，WAB形式で録音し，他のアプリでMP3形式に変換するように使用すればこのアプリは完璧に期待に応えてくれるでしょう．素晴らしい機能を提供してくださり，ありがとうございます． After using all the features, I found out what the other reviewers were saying and why the ratings were so divided. In conclusion, this app does a perfect job with WAB format, but MP3 is completely useless. At first, I started to use this app in WAB format, and the quality was 100 points perfect. 2-7 minutes of audio was recorded 10 times in a row, and the sound quality was comparable to ASMR sources. My laptop is not equipped with a sound mixer, but this app worked perfectly and did the job perfectly. The problem was with the MP3s; I tried to record 20 minutes of audio at a time to record an hour-long live performance, but after about 7 minutes, the app started encoding the audio on its own. I tried recording again, but when I tried to use Save at the 20-minute mark, the button didn't respond at all, and even when I closed Chrome, the timer kept running, and I couldn't exit or resume. I managed to record about 40 minutes of audio, but the voices in all the files were like slow playback, it was a mess. This app seems to have a fatal error in the MP3-related code. However, if you record in WAB format and use another app to convert to MP3 format, this app will meet your expectations perfectly. Thank you for providing such a great app.
• (2021-08-17) Druga Florin: Audio is recorded but is -1 or -2 octaves, it changes the tempo and the pitch of the recording (from mixclout at least). Usless.

• (2021-08-06) Natnicha Tewaditep: I use it to record the voice of my teacher from a video. This extension changes the tone from high and sweet voice, to low bass and much older than what my teacher really is. Basically, it doesn't sound like my teacher at all. If you just want to record 'information', I think this extension works fine, but if you want more than information, probably this one is not the right choice.

• (2021-07-29) pete music: as a music producer, i need a way to record stuff when exporting isn't an option. this extension is good, but every time i use it, it gets pitch stretched down roughly 3.5 semi-tones. this is exponentially annoying for somebody like me who relies on accurate playback. if i recall correctly, this extension used to appear and function slightly differently, with keyboard shortcuts to start and stop recording and spot on playback. if possible, that version should be made optional, as it was generally better. the current one is absolutely a down-grade.

It breaks up audio in some parts and the quality is alright (acceptable) but not for many useful things. It also weirdly enough puts the music some notes lower to original, but I think this is to avoid copyright overall: 3.5/5

• (2021-05-26) Samuel Sarcolemma: Worked as stated. Running it in chrome, on a chromebook, it worked just fine. The software is not complex nor extremely robust, but it does what is says: captures audio from a tab. The quality I received on my recording was the same as the original. The app's lack of payment for it and quality suggest that it is probably doing something nefarious, but I set it to only be able to capture information when I use it, so...normal 2021 internet problems?
