• (2023-07-25) dREV: EDIT 7/25: I changed browsers from chrome to brave and looks like it's working again. I was going to change browsers anyways but I can at least mention it's working on brave as intended. PAST 7/23-24: There's some bug now on Chrome. I am unable to even comment or post any emoji's using this extension. Turning off HyperChat returns things back to normal. It happens in normal and Open LiveTL modes so it's almost completely useless right now. I've tried redownloading the extension, washing completely the browser except for my bookmarks, visited link, and the web data files and it still happens. Any ideas? I am on the latest chrome and liveTL updates. I also want to bring up that youtube has been having issues with chat during live streaming. The stream would continue normal but chat would stall then continue as normal. It's been doing this the past couple of days.

• (2023-05-08) Blood Sand: Does as described. An overall great app. I love the read aloud function, I long ago came to realize how much I've come to rely on it for streams I want to multitask during. When read aloud mode is on it no longer reads everything twice as I initially reviewed.

• (2022-05-27) dREV: At first I was looking for something to capture english text for streams that go by pretty quick but seeing it in action I chose to instead mainly use it to cut on CPU, GPU, and RAM consumption. High volume chat tends to create memory of over 1 gb to 2 gh over time (say 30-45min). Forcing me to either kill tab and refresh or open a new tab and paste the address to reset the memory. With this however, I had multiple streams opened at the same time without it breaking 400-500 mb each tab. This is great news for me! Seems the chat displaying people's avatar image might be the culprit. Had Hyperchat on. The downside to this is that it messes with people special superchat message and stuff. I'd prefer if that wasn't touched at all.

• (2022-02-10) CptJackSanji: while the bloating of the app seems to have gone down the bugs seem to have multiplied the app will now sometimes randomly crash showing that the stream has ended when it hasnt cause excessive buffering that does not show up with the app not running and sometimes force the stream to randomly reload the issue with the same TLs showing up two to three times has returned and some TLs despite being labelled correctly are still being missed by the app entirely

• (2022-01-27) CptJackSanji: Despite the initial problem of streams not showing up at all on this extension being fixed the extension is now bloated and clunky everything seems to be slower and uncooperative the same TLs show up two sometimes three times in a row and seem to take much longer to catch and delay between when you send a message through this extension and when it shows up on stream which was already massive is even longer furthermore theres no way to turn off the twitch option in the chrome extension options and I never use twitch so this is yet more bloat to slow down the app with no way to get rid of it before the last two updates this wasnt perfect but it was a solid 4 star app I hope they can salvage this
• (2022-01-21) Andrew Bitterling: The reliance on hyperchat is the main issue. It states "it may take a few seconds for messages to start appearing" but takes over 60 seconds with an i7 & 32GB of RAM, meaning chat is always delayed by over a minute, making the extension unusable.
• (2022-01-16) Chief1231: I installed this for the live translations on hololive streams but after about 3 months of installing it, I noticed that whenever I reused a search bar, it would swap the search engine to trovii.com, which is malware. I turned off every extention and lowered it down to this one. PLEASE BE CAREFUL, IT HAS MALWARE

  Lately, when I have this extension enabled, trying to send a message in the normal chat fails, giving me an "Error. Try again" message, and stops all chat activity. When I'm on the LiveTL chat messaging works fine, but everything in chat (including the messages I send) is delayed by at least 10 seconds.

  I have a Wacom mobile studio and the extention doesn't respond to touch when I try to resize using the chat:translation dragger. This is the only way to control this device by default.

  Browser: Chrome, latest update OS: Windows 10 I tried it today, but faced new problems. The app detected someone (Gundamfinal) translating, so it added them in the list. Later they started writing in japanese (no [EN] in their comment or something similar) and it also showed that in the screen. I removed them from the list, but it didn't change and kept showing all of their messages. I added custom tags as shown in the pictures, but it didn't work properly. It apparently searches the entire comment for that specific tag, whether it's in the beginning or not, and approves it to show it as subtitle. As shown in the last picture with three people writing "EN", which I had added as a custom tag. At the end the list had 10+ people because at some point they would write "EN" and it whitelisted them. The last pic has one translation going through, which appropriately removes the text inside the bracket. After that I checked the list but they weren't there. I assume they were already listed as an official translator. Link to pics: https://imgur.com/a/3ATYdfc To experiment further, I tried adding Gundamfinal to the filter list and then unticking the box in case it works that way, but didn't solve the problem and kept showing their messages.

  I am using Live TL and it works very well. But i've observed one problem. When the extension is turned on, My RAM usage spikes to almost 4gb after some time of using chrome with one youtube tab. This kind of problem only happens when browsing youtube. I thought it is a google chrome x youtube problem, but when i tried to turn off extensions so solve the issue, when I turned live TL off, Chrome's ram usage dropped to 2GB. I love this extension but I can't use it if it keeps spiking the RAM usage to 4gb

  Is there an option to permanently remove a user I've filtered into appearing always? I had added a user that had been translating with a weird tag that was unreadable by the extension but he sometimes doesn't translate and his messages always appear now. Thank you for your work.

  Issue going on with it for me in particular. When I use LiveTL I am getting the following message " Chat disconnected. Please wait while we try to reconnect you. Unable to connect to chat. Please try again later. " I also use ytcFilter, LiveJimaku and Chat Selector for YouTube Live. I isolated the issue to ytcFilter and LiveTL being incompatible when using one or the other. Not sure what is causing the interference but it just started happening today as of 1/20/2020 8:am or so EST. I also left a review with basically the same information on ytcFilter. I do not want to choose between one or the other if anyone has time to take a look. Thanks for your time. Thank you for the extension.

  Every time I start up Chrome, the "Thank you for installing LiveTL" page opens in a new tab. I saw no setting to disable this, and it's annoying to have to close it every time.

  I'm using the latest version V 3.0.4 , but I still see [EN] Translated text in chat not being captured in the LiveTL window. Thanks for the app and hope you guys can look into improving it more in the future. I am still very glad you guys came up with this extension, just hoping it gets improved more as more often than not I still see a lot of translated text in chat not being captured by the extension, thank you very much!

  I've installed and reopened microsoft edge and refreshed the stream and it still won't play, youtube just keeps giving me an error code.
