Пришлось сперва щелчком правой кнопки мыши на видео открыть меню в котором выбрал копировать ссылку на видео. Потом перешел на это видео по скопированной ссылке и вот тогда только получилось. Видимо, в ВК все как-то хитро с ссылками и ссылка ссылке рознь.
