As you can see this channel blocker has a specific button to block quickly which is much more convenient. Hope you guys keeping this in mind. Thank you

• (2023-05-13) Wendy A.: It doesn't redirect the user. Everything is good about the extension but it doesn't redirect the user that clicks on the blocked video. You can still watch it if you're quick enough. Can you please add a feature to redirect the user back to the Youtube homepage if they click the blocked video?

Problem: When I visit a video that should be blocked using an external link, I can still view the video on the page that I have visited. Am I doing something wrong, or is it supposed to work this way? For example, I can still watch a music video by pasting the video link even though i have blocked videos in the music category.

• (2022-12-23) JuniperCruse: Works great so far, my biggest pet peeve when searching for videos of my favorite category was the thousands of click-bait videos. I just wanted an app that could block these videos from showing on my feed so I can access the worth-while content. It worked exactly as I wanted it too and was easy to use, I can even block tags like "sports" which I don't have a interest in, and those annoying YouTube shorts that were clogging up my subscription tab.

And I would like to have a feature to whitelist channels, so they are not affected by the title blocker. Update: The new version 3.0 deleted everything I entered! But the blocker works on the videos tab now.
• (2022-11-17) G doc: this is almost perfect and here is some suggestion which make it more perfect . recrate issue by disable extension from pop menu then set keep disable for 5 min. after 5 min extension will turn on again . now disable for 2nd time. here i am expecting to remember five min timer for auto turn on but it get disable till turn on again mannly so if you forget to do that you tube will eat hour from my life
• (2022-11-08) Davis Bentley: The ability to filter by tags and categories is very useful but my api key reach a limit in under a month. 300,000 api requests in under a month and like a 20% error rate makes me wonder if this extension is doing additional stuff using the api key that it hides from the user. I would not use.

• (2022-09-19) blucat 4: Update: As of Sept 2022, it doesn't seem to work properly, some bug has crept in? Or maybe it's a Windows problem, just letting the developer know. Well this extension has been updated, and now it's pretty good. You can block videos or channels. You can still get to a video/channel by typing in it's exact url, but it won't show up in your suggestions. It now shows the number of videos blocked on this page, and the number in total, which I was confused about. And it works as of August 2021, a lot of the others don't work anymore because Youtube keeps changing things. So, all good. :-)

Hereafter, any attempt to play a video saved in a playlist FROM the playlist, results in the browser being redirected by Youtube back to the Explorer page. There is definitely something that changed on Youtube's side yesterday that is not yet compensated for in this awesome plugin...I sincerely hope the devs will be able to resolve this and I sincerely thank them for their generosity and for making this tool available to us. PS: To continue using this, I had to DISABLE the "Block opened videos" checkbox. Even after resetting the extension to its defaults, hence removing all channel names etc...it would still not work unless I uncheck this checkbox...

  First time user and I keep getting the message" This extension may have been corrupted" every time I try to add this extension. I've never had this issue with any other extensions on Chrome before and don't know how to fix it as clicking "Repair" doesn't seem to help and neither does removing and re-adding the extension. I'm on a Windows 7 desktop, if that helps figure out the issue. I really wanted this extension cause there's a LOT of YT vids I don't want to see but don't want to use Restricted Mode since it won't solve my issues and this extension seems like the best available option.

  This is my favourite video blocking extension that has better features than any other video-blocking extension on the Chrome Web Store. Good work! I have a few suggestions: - When trying to do work, I tend to get distracted by music videos a lot. There should be an additional setting to block videos released by artist channels. These channels tend to have a music note icon located next to their channel name. - I also noticed that some music videos have a VEVO logo on the bottom right when the video is playing. Maybe there is a way for the extension to identify VEVO videos so they can get also blocked with a setting. - There should be a setting to block music videos that are automatically generated by YouTube. In the description of an automatically generated video, it should say: "Auto-generated by YouTube." The channel that published that video should also not be a real channel. These channels tend to end with "{channel name} - Topic" - Add a setting to block videos from verified channels. Verified channels have a checkmark icon next to their channel name. - If it is possible, add a modifier that detects the category of the video. - When I set blocking settings, I like to have 2 settings that I tend to export and import into Video Blocker across devices. I have personal settings which blocks some stuff. I then also have work settings which blocks everything that personal settings blocks and more. Instead of having to tweak things across both settings every time I want to change something in personal settings, there should be a way to perhaps manage settings "layers" (just a name idea). There could be different layers of settings that stack on-top of each other and compile into a single group of settings rules once applied. For example, I could create a settings layer to block music and another layer to block gaming videos and posts. On my personal Chrome profile, I could import the layer for blocking music. Meanwhile, on my work-related Chrome profile, I could import both layers to block music and gaming videos at the same time, where the blocking of gaming videos could possibly be ordered to take precedence over the layer for music videos. Basically, this is the equivalent of installing the Video Blocker extension multiple times in a single Chrome profile with different settings applied to each instance of that extension. I hope this last suggestion is easy to understand.

If I right click I get options, remove, unpin etc. If I right click on the video, I get no block option. If I click on the 3 dots, I get no block option.
