The vote on Jan. 6, 2021 to accept the results of the vote from all 50 states was marred by the violent occupation of the Capitol. Even after that, more than 140 Republican legislators voted to reject the certified votes of voters in Arizona and Pennsylvania — precisely as the violent mob had hoped.
