Readme - Text to Speech extension can read aloud text from any websites, eBooks, documents using TTS voices. Users can simply selected text and one click speak it. Text to Speech (TTS) works on any content of web pages, social sites, information channes or files as doc, pdf and more.
This extension can be very helpful small children, visually impaired people or people with a speech impediment. Also for people who learns a foreign language and can not correctly speak it.
Readme - Text to Speech includes functions like changes languages, volume, rate, pitch and voice gender. Speech languages are English, Spanish, German, French, Russian and Portuguese. Volume can change on lowest, normal and highest. Rate speaking can change slowest, slowly, normal, fast and fastest. Pitch are normal and high.
HOW TO USE

* First select text which you want to read.
* Right click of the mouse to the selected text.
* Click to 'Readme - Text to Speech' in the context menu.
If you still do not know how to use extension:
* Look to the screenshots.
* Click to icon of extension and click to 'HELP ME!'.

- (2021-06-28) João Vitor Chivite: it does never read more than a few lines of text stopping in the middle of the text ive seen phone apps that can read more than that its unfortunely that this extension have this issue and the only reason i gave 3 stars is because other extensions offered in chrome store wont do much better
- (2021-06-14) Alex: Settings don't do what they're supposed to, I set it to male but the female voice is the only one offered. I will highlight a paragraph or to of text but only 1-2 sentences are read. I really like the idea of this but I'm unsure if these problems will be fixed.
- (2021-04-30) Anastasia McLean: Writing a review for other users - I downloaded it to read the websites given by my teachers because sometimes listening helps better than just reading. The only reason I gave 3 stars because, yeah it works well, it reads the words highlighted, but what sort of bothered me was that it was really fast, and the voice was a feminine robotic voice, really monotone. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to, it reads the text.
