This extension is DIRTY and tries to redirect you to affiliate tracking links when you go to sites like BestBuy, Newegg, and others. This is all so that the creator/author/publisher can make a COMMISSION on whatever you purchase.I would not have even noticed these redirects if I did not have a network-wide ad blocker in my home (PiHole). Very slimy. P.S. A few examples of domains I have seen it redirect to are: flexlinkspro.com, prj11.com, shara.li, and others that I did not care to write down. All of these domains are connected to affiliate marketing networks.

• (2022-10-17) Vira Mala: Only been using it for about a week but it does what it says. I set it to suspend tabs after 5 minutes. Along with other programs I was running at the same time, I was using 2.5 GB of RAM with 14 tabs open in the Brave browser. It dropped to 2.1 GB, almost a 20% reduction in memory. One of the tabs was a pinned tab so I set it to keep it unsuspected and it honoured that agreement. With only 4 GB of RAM and shared video (which can use up to 512 MB on my system), every bit counts! Impressed.
• (2022-10-16) Tim Brachovski: The default ( TGS ) way of suspending tabs is kinda flawed. As my tabs were lost after I deleted the extention before unsuspending the tabs. And it happened with many others I believe . But I came to find out that it was an ID10T error , speaking of me as well i.e user error . Some instructions would've been nice tho . clear up the confusion for others . And also setting the default suspend style to chrome's discard feature would be better imo . Edit : also the lost tabs could be recovered .. by installing the extention again . Btw feature request , opeining tabs from bookmarks while suspended .. with the discard feature .

I use this extension all the time! It is one of the best chrome extensions that I have used and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a lot of tabs open at a time. It really saves processing power so I can do a lot more with a lot more tabs! The best extension that I have on my computer. It saves a lot of time and money!
• (2022-10-06) Josh Witte: "Matt Nomadic" is a liar and a thief. He is selling our information and providing unwanted redirects to other sites to collect affiliate money. This extension is even worse than the official one ever was. I've never seen someone so blatantly defend such inexcusable shady practices. I encourage everyone to pay close attention to what happens after you enter specific URLs. If you notice your browser suddenly and automatically redirect briefly to a completely unrelated site before finally taking you to the one that you intended, then it is because of this extension. They do this because they get an easy kickback from those sites. Not to mention, those random websites save cookies in your browser that track you without your consent. I will be reporting this to Google and to any tech news outlets that have previously run stories about the malware inherent in it. Shame on you for taking advantage of something useful that you didn't even create and exploiting its users for profit at the expense of their personal privacy.

  Upon googling things, there is a split second flash of the proper search results, after which they are replaced with various ads/commercial websites. This happens on every page of the search results, so there are no actual results to get to. I isolated the extension as the cause of this. Disabling the extension solved this.

  I didn't lose my tabs like others are reporting, but I see all of my tabs refreshing with the suspender icon flashing on each tab over and over. Restarting the browser did nothing to help.   I recently was prompted for an update to great suspender. The confirmation message said the tab sessions were all autosaved pre-update. This seemed true but I had all my tabs broken into 9 tab groups (native function in chrome). For some reason after the update half my tabs disappeared without clear rhyme/reason. Super frustrating to try and remember on how to put them back. Also this would not have been solved by 'saving' the session before the update. Please fix

  Does anyone actually respond from the company? This problem started just a week ago, after a reboot. Now when tabs suspend they just show the great suspender icon, and the name is the same "... chrome-extension//". So I can't find my old tabs without unsuspending the all to see what they are. Up to know it has worked well, but if I can't fix this I will leave a bad review since it is worthless now, actually worse than not having it. And I will try a different extension.
