• (2025-06-21) Spike 666: This works great until I try to use Deepl as the translation tool. Google Translate doesn't always translate correctly for my language, Deepl does. When I use Selecton with Google Translate selected, it opens the Google Translate web page with the text I selected already inserted. With Deepl, I have to cut and paste, so it's actually worse than not having the translate function. I have to go back and copy, or I have to copy initially, then hit the translate button, then paste. Hopefully this can be fixed.

• (2025-05-26) OrderlyHippo: I installed this extension for a tiny little pop-up to define words. It only searches Wikipedia for definitions. Very disappointing that I almost uninstalled. What kept me from uninstalling are the copy and search buttons which are very useful. I was pleasantly surprised by the Highlight feature, then disappointed at how buggy it was that I disabled it. Shouldn't even be an option. 4/5 stars unless "define" button is improved. Then I'll change to 5/5. Reply to dev: I see how it works now. Something like the Google Dictionary extension is what I expected. Wikipedia definitions can be very different. Thank you for the informative reply. I'll give 5 stars now. And thank you for the extension! It is truly good despite being buggy at times. Perhaps you can change the button from "dictionary" to something like "encyclopedia" to be clearer to the user. Also, I noticed when using my finger on touchscreen to select text, the popup no longer appears. Edit: It would be nice if I could delete a highlight via the little scroll bar highlight shortcuts, because sometimes the webpage changes and text is no longer available (chat gpt for example when editing a reply), thus the shortcut on the scroll bar just takes up space. Or at least an option to disable to highlight shortcuts on the right side.
• (2025-05-19) kradena horilka: Great addon, properly made: flexible and stable. Pls expand pop-up for translate button with full translator answer. I prefer to translate only one word for languages I learn, there is often a need to know other possible translations to adjust it to context.
• (2025-05-05) Mert Kaya: Thanks for this great extension! Being able to order search options (including the "Copy") would be really nice. So, frequently used ones can be fixed on top.
• (2025-04-08) Andario Andrada: Most extensions I´ve used in the past have a "Add to search bar" feature, but this one doesn´t. So I´m supposed to and manually and test dozens of engines I already have. There´s no search bar to type something and search, you have to select text on screen. Popup requires an additional click (it does not open without it), and it does not stay open if I want to repeat the search on different websites. "Selection search" or "Contextsearch" for Edge are miles better.

• (2024-09-03) Nikhil Bhagat: I have been using few awesome excellent and extremely useful extentions like youtube for Tweaks, autocontrol, Extension manager, Bypass Paywall clean, Tapermonkey, ublock and now I am happy to say the latest one 'Selecton' has found its deserved premium place into the league. This is the super extention which has made surfing super easy and works seamlessly. I thank the developer for providing this, It's a must have if you seek information on google regularly. Although if I may suggest few improvements if you will - after selecting the text when we want to extend the selected text to include more text, we use drag handles which does not work at all, it bounces unselecting the text or just selects whatever it can select. I generally do not write reviews but this has made me and it was totally worth it THANK YOU !!!

• (2024-02-05) Cristian Ilea: Great addon idea but I'm having issues regarding currency converter: it's completely inaccurate. I really don't know why, Rates update interval (days) is configured for 1 day. Secondly, I have a suggestion: please add the option to put the popup BELOW the selection. I'm an Opera user and Selecton interferes with Opera's own popup selection (which position can't be changed).

• (2023-03-12) Errorof Theworld: У меня от чего-то в вивальди последнем после выделения слова двойным щелчком и последующей попыткой найти его в поисковике с помощью кнопки поиска, поисковик выдаёт пустой запрос. Если выделяю зажатой кнопкой мыши, то всё нормально. Можно ли это исправить и как? Если не учитывать эту проблему, то расширение отличное. В опере чем-то таким пользовался, но там встроенная штука.
