I usually find myself in a pool of tabs and its very annoying to find the most recent tab I was working on. I have created this Chrome extension to solve this problem of mine and hope this app finds a place in your heart, oh sorry no, your browser.
Use ALT + N for Next (direction :- Right)
Use ALT + P for Previous (direction :- Left)
