Important Note: This extension will NOT help you access videos from sites like YouTube or Netflix. The extension does not provide any video streaming content of its own, it only makes it easier to find and use links for video streams that are already publicly available.
The extension intercepts visited web page's network requests and identifies all m3u8 video stream URLs. When a m3u8 URL request is found, it is displayed in a box that overlays the visited web page (see images above) from which you can copy the m3u8 URL or play the video stream. Also, you can open the extension's popup window to view the first and last m3u8 URLs found for each site, as well as to set a variety of extension options.
This extension does NOT provide functionality to download the actual video streams. There are already quite a few other extensions and programs for that.
For example, I use this extension mostly to identify video streams from live TV news streaming pages. If they use m3u8 files for the stream, I can play them with the extension's integrated video player, or copy the links to the clipboard to use with other video playing and recording programs like VLC, Kodi, or Jaksta Media Recorder.

- I like this player it helps with buffers a lot with certain sites but recently it won't load on some sites I use to use it with not all sites it says error hope it will be fixed soon Edit: Thanks for reaching out it's working but some sites that I use to use with it won't work guess they block player extension can always try find other sites that support it thanks bro.

- It works for the first and last links however sites get around this by spamming dozens of m3u8 links in the middle that you can't find using this extension. A "view all links" feature is required for future updates. Edit: I believe the developer is doing a great job maintaining and improving this as you can see from his response! I can't wait to see the autoplay unattended option!

- I can go onto a website and separate the embedded m3u8 into it's own extension link. However, I can't download it. That's kind of an important. I read the comment saying that wasn't the purpose for this extension and that there are other programs that do that, but I can find literally zero extensions or downloadable programs capable of recognizing videos on streaming sites. This is literally the only one. So it's really unfortunate that you can't download videos with it. Finding programs and extensions that will recognize videos on streaming sites are extremely rare and the only one that worked now does not, so this is the only one that does. But it can't download the videos it recognizes.

- What's the point. Just use devtools network tab. I'd understand if it could actually download the stream (like advertised in the description), but it can't. It can only download the M3U8 playlist itsself which is absolutely useless.

- This is the only working extension that does what it says. It works really well and you don't even need to start the stream to capture the URL! Thank you! *** FEATURE REQUEST *** Allow for setting of a default resolution. Most videos have multiple options and I only care to capture a single one, but it requires that I first change the resolution for the stream URL to be 'seen'
