- (2025-07-02) Fabian Brüßler: Would be nice to be able to reorder the rules. Some tabs fit into more than one rule and usually the first rule that matches gets used. But at the moment you can't reorder the rules and therefore not change the behaviour.
- (2025-06-17) David: What? I am reasonably smart, but I do not understand the instructions at all, and I can't figure out what this is supposed to do for me. What are all those diagrams with lots of red arrows? And what are "Group rules". I don't even know what they are talking about. How to use this is a complete mystery. I could probably figure it out, but without some clue about how it is supposed to be helpful, why would I waste my time on that.
- (2025-06-06) Yuki K: It's generally not a problem. However, there are the following issues: The following rules have been added to Group Rules. Hostname regex * -> I was hoping it would apply to tabs excluding other rules I set, but it didn't work.
- (2025-05-12) Andrew R: I was looking for something to add this feature that has become a staple for me on the Edge browser, and ended up getting more than I could have expected. This extension comes with several more features than just tab grouping, having several menus for saving and organizing old tab groups, showing tab groups on your bookmarks bar (which is good for easy acess and expanding them), and a few other features that are extremely neat. If I were to suggest anything to improve this extension: 1. Don't expand out the tab group when dragged, just dragging the icon for the tab group if its closed. This is more personal preference, but I think it would make things easier and less cluttered, especially when dealing with multiple tabs and groups. 2. Creation of tab groups by dragging and holding tabs over one another. This is an Edge feature it would be cool to see here, though I will admit it is a bit janky and difficult to get the right timing down.

- (2025-04-18) Zerui Lin: The software features are excellent, but I wish there was a one-click delete feature for the feature on the left of favorites for tab groups pool that are not in the current window et,al, because every time I reopen chrome for this profile, the old tab group gets lumped into that and travels a bottomless abyss Currently you can only delete them one by one, which is inconvenient
- (2025-04-05) Boštjan Bartol: not work in opera one. any chance for opera support? thank you.
- (2025-03-28) Clement Tran: I found out about this extension on reddit. I was looking for a way to add new tabs into the current chrome group. This extension did just that and seems to have so much more functionality on top of that if needed. Definitely worth an install.
- (2025-03-28) Gary M: Very useful if you use tabs in Chrome and need a quick way to recover tabs. Nice and clean interface. You can tell the developer has talent.
- (2025-03-18) Charles Koch: Perfectly simple app that does exactly what I need without being over complicated! Simply great!
- (2025-02-22) Botasky: It would be perfect if you could open the tabs in an unloaded state.
- (2025-01-28) Felipe Demolin: Amazing, I just wish I had found this earlier
- (2025-01-28) Morgan P: Easy 5. The only missing feature is the ability to reorganize the tabs saved and their links. Thank you, Jackie.
- (2025-01-27) SG Park: I have been using this extension for a while. What I like most about it is that it can even create single tab groups. Overall, I enjoy using it, but it freezes occasionally, requiring me to restart Chrome. Not a deal breaker for me though.
- (2025-01-16) Vinayak: Excellent for managing/saving tabs, since chrome stopped saving local files opened in chrome tabs.
- (2025-01-13) sorbet boy: Super helpful for saving and opening a tab group I use regularly, thanks!
- (2024-12-05) Markus Schmidt: The perfect solution! However, for some time, with Edge: all Tabs are always collapsed and I had no idea how to fix that. Now, I understood, it is: "Let Microsoft Edge help keep your tabs organised" that organized my tabs in a way that it closes them automatically every time I start Edge.
- (2024-11-16) Tom Plessers: After having lost my tab groups so many times by clicking the wrong button (the main culprit being "close other tabs" in stead of "close tabs to the right" being pressed) I FINALLY found an extension that enables me to snapshot the groups that I have in an easy manner. I have about 30 tabs across 4 groups that are always open, so I use groups extensively and this extension enables me to make sure I can always return to the default state no matter what I do. It even has an export function, to doubly make sure you can safeguard your groups and restore them even when your data is gone or you switch between PC's A tip for a potential feature some day: enable grouping groups into profiles, so that you can easily switch between a set of groups on the fly. This would, for instance, enable people to have a group set "private" and a group set "work" with different tabs grouped and the ability to quickly switch over I love this extension so much that I'm going to go look if the developer has a donation button somewhere. I hope he or she does
- (2024-11-03) Henry Sitting: Miss the option to save all tab groups in all windows (needs to be done one-by-one right now), but otherwise finally extension to save opened (and keep them opened) groups, when Chrome itself lacks the capability.
- (2024-10-31) Motaz Habib: Very Useful and Easy to use
- (2024-10-24) Laurent Quark: please add a rule to search words in html content.
- (2024-09-24) Grace Stahre: Appreciate having a reliable backup of tab groups, but could really use an export function so I can have the same groupings on different machines. Recreating it on each machine is not fun.
- (2024-09-24) Vladyslav Muzyka: Excellent browser extension, very pleased with its functionality. The only thing missing is a search by saved groups, from experience they can accumulate a lot and with the usual sorting you have to search for the right group for quite a long time. So it would be ideal if the author added the ability to search.
- (2024-09-15) Moe Bazzi: This extension is great for having a vertical view of my tab groups. It also works really well with the Tidy Tab Groups extension (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tidy-tab-groups/fohgbkobjdckaapjimleemkolchkmebf)
- (2024-09-03) Paul Adam: Does not work
- (2024-09-02) IM Tanuki: NICE EXT - NEEDS SORT FUNCTION Nice plugin, but doesn't address the one really big problem with the latest release of Google Tab Groups - not only is there no sorting, but the sort order (in the dropdown list of the Google version) is constantly changing based on usage (and god forbid you sync). Can't say this ext is useless, but it really needs sorting (custom, by name, etc). Saved Groups attempts to provide a history of snapshots, but doesn't link multiple snapshots of the same group - confusing.
- (2024-08-26) GaiaX5: TAB GROUP EXTENSION, RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE! While Chrome added Tab Groups, Opera GX REMOVED tab groups (for some reason). So don't count the extension out just yet.
- (2024-08-20) Grant daCosta: Rip this is useless now, Chrome just added Tab Groups in the latest update 😭 Cool extension though.
- (2024-07-19) Eder Ollora: Can we have the "lock botton" in case someone closes the tab so it won't be avaible. And then we is it is removed, it was possible to remove.
- (2024-07-14) Tariq Jaber: Can we have the option to change the colors or add more colors?
- (2024-07-10) Trolli Sussy: dsn't work in opera gx . havn't tried it in chrome tho
- (2024-06-25) Mark Macnamara: Fantastically useful plugin for organizing bookmarks and links. Highly recommend it to all.
- (2024-06-23) Lee Bothwick: Good, just needs an ability to rearrange the order of saved groups.
- (2024-06-21) Jeff Valcher: You have allowed me to collapse a tab group. Thank you.
- (2024-06-07) Carolyn Edrington: It works as described. I am probably a lite user. It does what I need. Would give it 5 stars but there is a nagging group that I've tried to delete a million times and it just won't go away. Not a deal breaker, but terribly annoying
- (2024-06-06) Adriel Alonso: Doesn't work in Opera GX
- (2024-05-25) Fireplanet !: Very good. Please add an option in "Group Rules" to only group tabs according to the rules, if multiple tabs match the rule. So that groups are only created when neccessary! THANK YOU
- (2024-05-23) Maria Zenkevich: The documentation on this plugin is not sufficient. I just hidden a few saved groups and cannot find a way to restore them..
- (2024-05-12) ирка: the best one for grouping your tabs. simple, quick and easy to manage. saved a lot of my nerves. thanks to this extension I'm not drowning in an ocean of opened tabs anymore
- (2024-05-07) Graham Hitchcox: Managed to FIX. This is a Super TOOl. Every One that uses multiple Tabs as in a Trading Scenario will benefit from this. I Only wish that One Could Right Click -- = Sort L-R Alphabetably ....... This would make things easier to find the TAB you want! Please Please Please
- (2024-04-15) Loc Nguyen Quang: Very good and usefull, but I need the rule to not group pinned tabs
- (2024-03-25) Tianrong Zhang: Shall we get a dark theme as well as the ability to change the zoom factor of the popup?
- (2024-03-17) Jure Rajer: Hi, great extension, thanks. Two wishes to make it more efficient: 1. Please make the active tab more obvious, I struggle to find it. 2. Rearrange the groups by the date the tab was first opened (left to right, oldest to newest). I want the newest tabs be to the right (like it is without this extension).
- (2024-03-08) Jason Webster: Exactly what I was looking for. This is a game changer for work. Have every Jira ticket automatically open in it's own jira tab group! AMAZING!
- (2024-03-06) Josh DeGroote: i wanted this to work so badly that i even researched regex script [aka coding] to use in my custom grouping rules. Did this to help optimize personalization + let the extension show off what its capable of. too bad what its capable of is absolutely nothing. troubleshot thing this up and down to no avail. there are other extensions out there that don't offer personalization but they work!! in the end, just make your own group tabs -- its less time consuming, its organized the way you like, no bs extensions. if the developer wants to reach out to me directly to troubleshoot with me, i may reconsider.
- (2024-03-04) Taras 79295: When you click "Hide group", there is no way to bring it back.
- (2024-02-29) Max Zeman: Does not work with external links, e.g. from mail or messengers Can't change the priority of rules (swap), no exclusion rules Hopefully it will be available in the next versions
- (2024-02-28) Charity Reed: The rules are applied in the order they are created. But there is no way to move a rule down in priority. This means if I have a rule that I want applied last I have to delete it and recreate it every time I make a new rule that I need to be higher priority than the one I want applied last. There should be a way to reorder the rules without deleting and reading the rule.
- (2024-02-28) Kemal Erbakirci: Great product. Thanks Guokai Han! I'd like to have a feature to set a rule for naming while I use "auto-group by domain" enabled.
